Deep inside of Sara’s manor, down deep in the dungeons, a woman with golden blonde hair, was writing into a book with a quill pen as she twirls her left finger in a circle while a ladle was stirring a cauldron through her magic. Beakers were bubbling, books were flying across the room and organizing themselves into different shelves. Different test tubes were floating over and pouring chemical mixes into a boiling flask then slowly putting themselves down on a rack. A broom sweeps away the dust under the desks and gathers all of it on one spot.
“In conclusion, the probability of learning magic, even the most average joe can learn the basic understanding of magic and training can be achieved. But remember, magic alone takes years of dedication to achieve to the level of average to pro to mastery level to become a true sorcerer/sorceress. No. no no no, that’s just cliché as hell. Ugh, at this point, there’s no way I’ll be able to publish this in time.” She said as she crosses out the paragraph.
Just then, bell chimes rang on her desk as it faintly glows purple.
“Hmm, so who’s my unlucky costumer this time?” She said.
She got up from her desk and snapped her fingers. Every object in the room reacted to her snap and rush over to their places. All the books placed themselves in their respective shelves, all the test tube went to empty racks, and the brooms finished sweeping the floors and headed to the corner of the room. The women then walked over to a door at the far-left side of the room. She unlocks it as she walks into an operating room. Over the operating table, a purple portal manifested itself and drops a body onto the table. It was Saul, barely holding on to life as his vision was a blur and his blood was still spilling out from his cut.
“Well, well, well, looks who decided to drop by. I guess I get to operate on you after all. Let’s see what’s the damage is today.” She said as she puts an apron, black leather gloves, and a mask. She then opens a logbook and snaps her finger as another quill pen floats up and begins to write what she says.
“Patient, newbie. Operation at 1407 hours, the subject was brought in through portal transportation. Damage seems critical, the spinal cord is exposed, cause of damage, mostly a sword fight.” She said as she opens as a valve and places a mask over Saul’s face and pumps some anesthesia into him. She noticed the talisman on his lower and instantly recognizes it.
“Seems like you went to town on him didn’t you, Xin.” She said as she summons a magic sigil and uses it to view as an Xray to see his insides.
“Right ribs are cracked and punctured his lung, the liver has suffered from forced impact, right kidney bean has burst, spinal cord shows signs of forced scoliosis, both femurs are snapped, pelvis also shows a bit of breakage, skull, and brain also suffered from head trauma. But as long as most of you are here there’s no problem.” She said as she removes the talisman tag and begins to operates on Saul’s body.
She first used a scalpel to open his entire torso open. Hours went by, Andrea spends most of her time detaching and reattaching Saul’s bones, organs, and muscles back together. Eventually, she moved to his arms and legs and opens them with her scalpels and proceeds to the same operations again. By the time she finished, it was midnight in the demonic realm, the blood crescent moon hung above the sky illuminating the sky across the realm. She wraps up the operation and wraps Saul’s body in a body cast. His body then levitated up from the operating as a portal opens to one of the bedrooms in the manor. The woman walks through the portal as well and lays upon the bed itself. She snaps her fingers as Saul’s body drops from the air and into bed with her.
“Sleep tight kiddo. You’re going to need.” She said as she slowly strokes his face.
The hour goes by, the demonic sky illuminates signally the dawn. The light shines through the window and the light rays began to shine on Saul’s face. He opens his opens, dazed, and confused. He didn’t remember what happened and why is he there. Until the memories came rushing back to his head. He was defeated by the masked shinobi and was left to die, or least he thought he died.
“Damn it. I failed again. Wait, what the? Why can’t I move?” he asks himself.
He tries again to move again but then he looks around his body and sees that his whole body is in a body cast. Only now it was thicker than the one he was in last time. He couldn’t move his head, his limbs were completely paralyzed, and it was hard for him to breath at all. Frustrated yet determined, he tried to move his limbs within the cast itself but it was no use. His fingers, toes, and limbs were completely paralyzed, no matter how much he tries to move them. Groaning from his fail attempts, he gives up and catches his breath.
“Great, how am suppose to go to the bathroom now?” he said to himself. Looking around the room, it’s the same guest bedroom he stayed in the first time he was in the demon realm. Or maybe it’s one of the other guest bedrooms. He could tell since they all look the same to him. looking over to his right and received a sudden shock, he sees a woman with beautiful golden blonde hair. Surprised by this, he screams out and leaps up from the bed and drops to the ground.
“Ugh, keep it down will ya? It’s too damn early for this.” She said as she wakes up. She leans off to the side of the bed and sees Saul off the bed and in a funny position. “Glad to see you’re up and about.” She grins and tilts her head.
“Wait…. I know you. You’re one of Sara’s sisters, aren’t you?” he asked.
“That I am. Andrea is my name. And fixing people inside and out is my game.” She said as she snaps her finger and Saul’s body levitated up from the ground and moves to in front of the window. She then gets out from bed but still yawns as she’s still barely awake. Snapping her finger again, she stood Saul up on his feet as she approaches him.
“What are you doing?” he asked. She then leans over and touches the body cast.
“Imputresco” she whispered as her voice echoed. The cast begins to rot and decay as it slowly crumbles away. As the cast rotted away, it is revealed underneath the cast, Saul is covered in acupuncture needles piercing through his bandages. He still can’t move his body as the needle has punctured his pressure points. Andrea snaps her fingers again as the needles slowly come out of his body and gather around her hand along with the crumble pieces of the body cast. She then moves to the window as she collapses the crumbled pieces of cast and needles in hands as it turns into dust. With one blow, she blows all of the dust out the window and cuffs her hands to remove any remaining dust.
“Oops forgot one more.” She said as there was one more acupuncture needle in the back of his neck. From one tug, the needle came out, and Saul collapse on the floor and still can’t move his body.
“What the hell did you do to my body?” he asks.
“What did I was to save you life. Had I not applied the acupuncture you’re probably be screaming out in paint and want to end it all.” She said as she twirls the needle in between her fingers as it disintegrates itself.
“Then why does it still hurt like hell and I can’t move?” he said as he’s slump over on the ground.
“Give it a few minutes. You’ll able to able to move in a bit. Though the real challenge was restoring your organs and replacing your bones.” She said.
“Restoring and replacing my what now?” he said.
“I’m no ordinary doctor, kiddo. So long as most of you are intact, I can restore your body like it’s nothing. But do not count on me to bring you back to life if you die on me.” She said as he pulls out a cigarette from in between her breasts. She snaps her finger again as a small flame lights up from the top of her finger and she lights her cigarette breaths a small puff of smoke.
“So, you just operated on me while I was out cold?!” he yells
“You know Sara has a point; you need to work on that yelling of yours. But yes, that I did. Most of your organs were still intact, however have to replace the femur and your rib-cage. Xin went a little overboard with you.” She said as she breathes in her cigarette and puffs out more smoke.
“So, she is another member of our group. I should have figured that.” He said to himself. He tries again to move his limbs and he starts to feel them again. However, he wasn’t fully recovered as he still can’t get back up.
“Xin is one of our more, expert members and the most combative than the rest of us. When it comes to hand to hand combat, she’s the best next to Frey. She was a bit underwhelming to see that you’re our newbie to our group and wanted to see if you’re improving or not. With or without the others' consent.” She said.
“And what’s her verdict?” he asked.
“She admits that you’re determined but still lack in close quarters. Focus on that, and she’ll test you again next time she meets.” She said as put out the cigarette with her fingers.
“Please don’t let it be soon. Can’t I even catch a break for myself?” he asks as he attempts to get up again.
“Nope. You’re the new rookie we’ve had in two decades so you’re going to be one of us, like it or not. And we’re going to teach our methods in our way.” She said as she helps Saul up while he’s still struggling to stay up. “Meaning we’re gonna be teaching however we want. Including my methods.” She said as she grins sadistically.
“Wait, does that mean-“
Just before he could ask, Andrea poked his pressure point on his back as it reacted to the rest of his pressure points in his body. He jumped from the shock and his body feels back to normal. The pain was barely there at all, however, he also trapped himself in a corner as Andrea slowly walks towards him into the corner of the room. She slams her arm against the wall and leans close to Saul’s face. Her eyes illuminated brightly red as they pierce through his own eyes.
“Meaning, we can train however we want. Our methods aren’t just for training but to teach a harsh lesson in survival. Whether it is surviving to reach your goal or survive between life and death by our hands or by this world. But I’m also curious about you in a different manner.” She said as she grins.
“What do you mean?” he asks while trembling.
“I’m not just a medical doctor but also a scientific doctor as well. And I made a couple of thesis and bets of how long you survive being with us. I made my hypothesis that would you last at best a day with my sister and Frey and at minimal an hour. But here you are, still breathing, in one piece for the most part, and your instinct has raised by 4.1% exceeding your normal reaction. And believe me, I don’t know if I should be frustrated or be happy that you’re exceeding my expectation if just a little. But it goes to show one part of my hypothesis, that humans under pressure can improve if only just a little.” She said as she was slowly stroking his cheek. Saul felt the chill running down his spine while she stroking his cheek. The chill of fear suddenly shifted to terror when Andrea smacked grab his face as her eyes slowly turned black and red.
“Which means, I can run multiple experiments upon you and repair as much as I want thanks to your contract mark and my healing magic and potions! OH HOW MUCH THE AMOUNT OF POSSIBLITIES IS DRIVE ME CRAZY!!! I CAN JUST POUND YOU, GRIND YOU TO MULCH, PULVERIZE YOU TO PASTE AND PUT YOU BACK!!! OH THE AMOUNT OF CREATIVITY I CAN DO ON YOU-“
Before she could finish her monologuing, Saul smack grabbed her face.
“Andrea, as much I would love to hear the rest of your rambling monologue of how much a crazy psychotic doctor, you need to chill out for a moment.” He said as she slowly pushes Andrea back a bit as she was in her personal space. Andrea stepped back a bit as she never had someone interrupt her before like that. She sat on the ground and slowly rubbing her cheeks to ease the pain of his slaps.
“You hit me……you hit me…. You hit…me..” she said repeatedly as tears began to roll down her face and begin to cry.
“Oh my god! I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to hit you that hard. I’m so sorry!” Saul said as he tries to comfort her. But Andrea turned away from him as she continues to cry.
“I thought you were a nice boy but I didn’t expect you to smack my cheeks like that so hard.” She yells as she sobs. Saul felt sorry for her and hugs her from behind. Andrea stopped crying as she felt his hug. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to hit you that hard.” He said as he hugs her tightly. Andrea calms and accepted the hug, calming her down. She then turns and around hugs him back. However, their hugging session was cut short when she backed away as her eyes began to glow black and red, along with her sadistic smile. “Gotcha.” She said.
She then holds him tightly and rushes to the wall as she opens a new portal.
“SHIT! HOW COULD I FALL FOR THAT?!”
They pass through the portal itself leading them both to a new location.
