The next morning, Dewi wakes up disoriented until he remembers that last night wasn't a dream. Kate really had kicked him out and his new friend is letting him stay with them. He glances over at the other bed to see that, while Luce has already gotten up, Blake is still sleeping with Stormcloud in his arms. Dewi quietly gets up, not wanting to wake him up.
His effort seems to be in vain as Blake starts to stir. He opens his eyes with a lazy smirk. "Oh, good morning, Cutie." Blake's eyes widen as he starts waking up and realizes what he just said. He buries himself into the blankets out of embarrassment.
"I don't know…. With the way you're acting, I think you're the cute one." Blake's face gets even more red and he tries to cover up his embarrassment with a subject change.
"B-breakfast. We should probably go get breakfast." Dewi thankfully takes the bait. He agrees and they head to the buffet. They both have their passes scanned as they go in and Blake gives Dewi a confused look. "That first night we met made it seem like you didn't plan on eating here a lot. Why spend the money on a pass?"
"Kate's that one who doesn't like buffets. I've been eating here behind her back… I need a higher caloric intake than she approved of so it was just easier to stop in here between meals." Despite just saying that he needs more calories than most, Dewi's plate is relatively sparse.
Blake looks between his plate and Dewi's. Without a word, he puts a scoop of the dish in front of them on his plate before doing the same to Dewi's plate. Twice as much. He does this a few more times before Dewi catches on. By the time they get back to their table, there isn't any room left on Dewi's plate.
They pleasantly talk over breakfast, relocating to one of the deck lounges after they've both eaten their fill. They end up hanging out together the whole day. Partly because every time the idea of suggesting they go do their own thing passes Blake's mind, he remembers how lost Dewi looked last night. He worries Dewi won't know what to do with himself if left alone right now. It doesn't hurt that Blake likes spending time with him.
Neither is paying much attention as the day passes. Sure, they go to eat when they get hungry, but time seems unimportant outside of that. It's like they're in their own little world where time doesn't exist. Except it does and eventually the sun reaches the horizon, surprising both of them.
Not wanting the day to be over yet, Blake hesitantly speaks. "Do… There's supposed to be a Disney movie marathon playing on the main deck starting at dusk. Do you want to go check it out?" The look of joy Dewi gives him at the suggestion shines brightly in Blake's eyes.
They end up sharing a lounge chair due to how crowded the event is. Dewi sits cross-legged against the back while Blake situates himself in a similar fashion at the foot. It's because he's sitting behind him that he notices it. There, peeking out from under Blake's shirt collar, Dewi can see a flash of blue. It's only for a moment but it's enough for him to be able to tell what the image is. A petal. Blake has a blue rose at the base of his neck and Dewi doesn't remember it being there when he ran into him at the pool the other day.
Realizing what it must be, Dewi decides to pretend he hadn't seen it. Soulmarks can be really personal for a lot of people. Blake seems like the type to be really private about that kind of thing, so Dewi doesn't plan on mentioning it. Hell, Dewi's the same about his own markings. So he silently watches the happy cartoon couples falling in love on the projected screen.
When the marathon wraps up, the two reluctantly head back to the cabin room. They're barely awake as they trudge into the room. Blake starts to trip over something in his tired state and Dewi instinctively goes to catch him.
"Ouch." Dewi feels a sharp prick where his hand connects with Blake’s side. He makes sure Blake has regained his balance before pulling his hand away to inspect it. There was nothing stuck in it to indicate what poked him. He glances at Blake’s side where he’d felt the jab, hoping to figure out what caused the pain. There's nothing there. Between his dark pants and shirt, though, Dewi gets a glimpse of red… like blood. "Blake… bleeding?" He doesn't wait for an answer before pulling up Blake's shirt slightly to get a better look. Whatever he saw isn't visible as the red isn't there, just pale skin. Maybe it was his imagination? That was likely it…
Instead it's Blake's face that's red. "Wh-what are you doing?"
Dewi becomes flustered. "I-I thought I saw blood… S-sorry…" He quickly goes to hide under the covers of his borrowed bed. Confused, Blake also goes to bed.
