Delilah and Tom - Present
Some moans, the smell of fresh coffee and warm toasts wake Delilah up. Now sitting up, with her eyes fixed on the blue sheets, last night’s memories pop into her mind and she wonders about how long she has slept. The fingers run through the long brown dishevelled hair and, after a deep sigh, she slowly heads to the kitchen.
- Your puffy eyes tell me that you cried yesterday… - Thomas, only wearing his jeans, an apron and the kitchen towel on his right shoulder, looks at her. - I hope it wasn't because of me...
- You're not on my blacklist… yet. – The woman narrows her eyes. - Is there anything for me or is this just some kind of torture?
Her friend smiles and a dimple on the right cheek appears. He hands Delilah a plate with two plain slices of toasted bread and a cup full of black coffee.
- You can have this… the extras are up to you, sweet tooth. – Already in the corridor, Thomas raises his voice. - Have you got anything for my headache?
- You know where, Cat... - she smirks biting the slice of bread topped with a lot of strawberry jam while stirring the hot drink.
- Ugh, I hate it when you call me that…
