last time on the oregon trail*welcome to the oregon trail, a choice and adventure game, each choice you make affects the story. Can you make the right choices?..... WiThOuT DyINg!!!!*... everything stopped spinning. and the air smelled of old wood, the room I was in was dark. but the little light from the window in the far corner, gave me enough for me to see my surroundings. a small bedside table is on my right. An Old rocking chair sat still, on my left. I gaped up at the wooden ceiling and managed to croak “where am i?........” suddenly a voice rang out from somewhere in the room “why, you’re in oregon. Just like the rest of us in this small town”, a young woman stepped forward and sat in the chair she brought with her. “Who are you?” I say as i sit up straight on the bed, “my name is abigail, you can call me “abi” for short ”, “it's nice to meet you abi, but… how exactly did i get here?”. She blinked at me a few times and responded, “i was riding home in my wagon during a storm, when I saw a dark figure slumped on the ground beneath an old oak. I moved closer to investigate, and there you were. out cold and as pale as the december snow. I heaved you into the back of my wagon and covered you in blankets and rode straight home”. I stared at her in awe, looking her up and down and I noticed her clothes. they were old timey and… nothing i've seen before, and that's when i remember. The room spun out of control,my body was dissapereing,...*welcome to the oregon trail….*, I'M INSIDE THE GAME!!!, “...so we best be going before the sun sets”.the woman's voice snaps me away from my thoughts. “ My family and I are leaving this small town in search of a more populated area and maybe a better life..., you may come with us if you'd like?”I process this for a moment. Either i can stay here and not know when i'll get help again, or. I can go with her and her family on this little expedition. “sure, i'll come with you” , “great, get up. We don't know how much daylight we have left!” she says as she holds out her hand. I take it and stand, she guides me through the small house and out the door. The sky was a light orange, and the sun peeked out from behind the horizon, she guides me down a cobblestone path and toward what seemed like a wagon from pioneer times. She leads me to the back of the wagon, where there sat an elderly man and two young children. a boy and a girl. “Now, it's time for introductions”. she gestures to the two children “this is David, and this is Anne”. The two children look up at me, and mutter “hi….”. Then she gestures to the old man “and this is my fath-”, “Abigail, I still don't know if trusting this one. Is the right choice, they could be dangerous, an outlaw even” he interrupted. I look down at the ground,my cheeks rose red, “ you don't know how bad that storm was father, and they were just splayed there on the ground. If i didn't trust them i would not have taken them home,ok”. I knew “them”,ment me. But I kept my head low and stayed quiet anyway. The old man grumbles and looks away from her. “Well then, find somewhere to sit. Were going to start riding”. she looks at me, and I obey. The old man locks his gaze on me, and me alone. His face is judgmental, and intimidating. I shrink away, and the wagon starts moving “it's going to be a while until we reach the next town so get comfortable!” said abigail, from the driver's seat of the wagon. And so it began, this was the beginning of the long journey ahead….
Part three coming soon……...
