He relaxes as he lets the water run over him. He… he had just done something crazy, hadn't he? Dewi is practically a stranger, but Blake just feels the need to help him. He hadn't even thought about it before offering.
Darn it, he's so screwed. Not only has he developed a crush on this obviously straight guy, he insisted said person stay in his cabin for the rest of the week. There's no way he's going to be able to hide his crush on him that long.
Before getting out, Blake lets his soulmate mark appear to check if anything’s changed. Most people keep their marks invisible in public unless they're actively looking for their soulmate or already found them. Blake's sure he'll never reveal his in public.
A soulmark is supposed to give hints about one’s soulmate, stuff like hair color or hobbies, most even changing or evolving as certain things change about the soulmate. Blake’s has never changed. The black, thorn covered vines wrap around his whole body. Maybe the lack of change means his soulmate is already dead… There’s nothing changing about someone who’s dead. Still, a tiny part of Blake hopes that’s wrong.
Having determined that there still is no change, Blake dries off and gets dressed before leaving the bathroom. "Alright, I'm done. Bathroom's open now." He is greeted by the sight of Dewi lounging on his bed. The one he hadn’t thought to clean off before getting his shower. The one with his black and purple patchwork cat plushie and night sky security blanket, the former of which Dewi is looking at curiously.
Blake rushes over and grabs the stuffed animal. “I-I know it’s childish… Someone our age having a plushie. Y-you probably think I should just grow up, right?”
Dewi looks surprised at Blake tightly hugging the cat before shaking his head. “No, your kitty’s actually really cute. Does it have a name?” This reaction stuns Blake into answering automatically.
“Stormcloud.”
“Such a pretty name. It’s obvious you care about Stormcloud a lot.” Blake seems to be trying to hide behind the plushie at this point. Still, Dewi can tell when he nods shyly. Dewi chuckles slightly because if this isn’t the cutest thing he’s ever seen, he doesn’t know what is. “Cute.”
He doesn’t even seem to realize that he said that last part. After staring for he doesn't know how long, the moment is broken and Dewi awkwardly gets up to change into pajamas in the bathroom.
The twins are already asleep by the time he comes back so he goes to bed too. Not that he gets to sleep right away. Instead he ends up staring at Blake cuddled up with Stormcloud until rest finally comes to him.
