Chapter 14
The group took aim as the boss was thrashing around the room.
“Everyone ready? FIRE WHEN YOU HAVE A CLEAR SHOT!” Ranydom roared.
Several people began to shoot their spells and arrows at different times and several people managed to hit the yellow underside.
The Crying Dragon let out a cry of agony and shook while twisting in the air.
It slowly began to melt and rained down on everyone.
Jade could hear a sad crying sound as the boss fell apart.
Everyone in the group ran towards the exit and Jade followed behind.
He was shaking as he let go of the mouse and started looking around trying to tell if they had beaten the other group.
“THE WINNERS ARE THE GUILD OF ELITES WITH A TIME OF 20 MINUTES AND 45 SECONDS!”
Several of his team members jumped from their chairs and began to scream with joy while a few others looked around seeming dazed along with Jade.
Jade put his fingers over his mask and leaned over, trying not to start crying.
“Holy shit we won…” He said softly.
His whole body was still abuzzed and he was trembling a little from the energy coursing through him.
Suddenly Jade was up in the air and staring at Ranydoms face.
“WE WON!” Ranydom roared.
Jade grinned.
“WE WON!”
“PUT THE PRINCE DOWN!”
A flash of silver before Jade's eyes startled him.
Something long and metal was in between Ranydoms face and his and he stared at it in confusion before turning to look where it was coming from.
A sword??? Jade thought in confusion.
Wait PRINCE?!
“Oh boy…” He groaned as he saw the large group of guards on stage.
“Prince?” Ranydom said in confusion as he lowered Jade down.
Jade hesitantly looked over at the guards, feeling grateful for the mask and glasses.
“Uhm, I think you have the wrong person...I'm not a Prince.”
Thank god for the lowered voice, Jade thought.
One of the guards walked up to him and grabbed his glasses, pulling them off before he could react.
Ryuu let out a loud hiss and lunged at the man, knocking him back.
Ryuu circled around Jade hissing and now visible.
“......Oh boy…”
All the guards did a small bow towards Jade.
“Prince Jade the King has requested your audience….its urgent.” The guard who had been knocked back said after righting himself.
“.....I'm not a Prince….” Jade mumbled.
“The King has requested your presence….” The man said looking away slightly.
Jade slowly pulled the mask down and stared at the ground.
“...Can I have my glasses back?” He said softly.
“Of-of course your Highness.” The guard handed them back and the rest of the men surrounded Jade, leading him off the stage towards the door.
Ryuu was by his side staring warily at all the men surrounding him.
Jade put his hand on Ryuu, both trying to calm his dragon and himself.
“Prince Jade you have nothing to worry about...the King is…*nice*.” The guard to his right said as they were walking towards a carriage.
“.......” The way he said nice did not exactly soothe his worries.
