“I can’t believe you talked me into skipin’ with you.” “I just got that strong kind of charm I guess.” “You’re really full of it, you know that?” I say rubbing my hand in his face. All of a sudden I feel a wet sticky sensation dripping down my fingers. I jerked my hand back from the sudden warmth.
“Wh-what? Why’d you do that?” “Sorry. I couldn’t help it. Your hand felt good and it was a spur of the moment- I’m sorry for being weird.” I couldn’t refrain from laughing anymore. He joined me in my unending laughing.
“What should we do now that we have plentiful time,” I ask. “Go home and get stoned. My mom wouldn’t mind smoking a joint right about now.” “That’ll most definitely have to be a no. I have no doubt about it. Ty would murder you, then kill me. He said that the only time I can smoke is when I’m with him. I don’t remember what happened last time, but apparently I don’t behave too well when I’m high.”
We sat in the court yard for almost an hour now. “Do you want to go grab a bite with me,” Nick ask. “Is this a date?” “Could be. Although I don’t think school lunch is much of a date.” “Me either.” I chuckled softly trying to keep quiet.
Nick grabbed my wrist and took me to the back of the school. “Stay here so that I can go in and grab some of the good food. You want pizza right?” “You know it.” When he got back his hands were full of food.
“Let me help you with that. You should’ve let me sneak in with you.” “I didn’t want to risk getting caught. You would’ve distracted me too much. Since I got the food I want to take you somewhere else.” “And where would that be,” I ask moving closer. “J-just wait, you’ll see.”
He stays ahead of me, walking to a place that I’ve never been before. We eat our food along the way. Once I find the nearest trash bin I throw my food away. The trees that we’re walking through have what looks like pink and white feathers. They are very beautiful. I end up tripping over a stick, falling into Nick’s back.
“If you wanted to hug me you could’ve just said so.” “I tripped over a stick you dumbass.” “Oh, sorry. Are you okay,” He asks genuinely worried. “Yeah. By the way, where are you taking me?" "Walk with me for a little less than a minute and you'll see."
I did as he said, and was stunned when we arrived at our destination. "Where did you find this? It's so beautiful," I exclaimed, not knowing how else to react to this beautiful site.
We had to walk through a closed off pathway to get here. I don't know what this place is called, but I can say that it looks like a miracle. We are surrounded by a creek with crystal clear, clean cyan water. The trees that I saw before are surrounding the creek just as Nick and I are. The petals make the core of the water shine brighter than the rest.
