They finished their bits of breakfast and started to get ready to explore the big city. Dylan put his clothes on and neatly folded his pyjamas. Thomas scoffed as he pulled his boots back on his feet.
Once ready they climbed back on the extended hands of their giant hosts. They left the house, which you could call cute and small compared to the large buildings in the city.
The rain had made place for the two suns that were rising above the city. Even though it was early in the morning it was already pretty warm. The air smelled lovely, sun after rain, a smell Sarah had missed. She inhaled deeply through her nose to take in the smell of spring. Thomas and Chloe blinked in the bright sunlight, but took in the friendly warmth of the two suns. They were used to heat, so this was a nice change. It almost felt cool for them. They arrived in the big city which was buzzing with life. Strange looking cars and odd trains and trams ran through the streets. Thomas looked at the cars in askance. Calla noticed.
"Electric cars." she said. Thomas looked at her and she saw that only rose more questions in his head. She giggled. "We have completely stepped off of gas. We gain electricity through wind, the power of the suns, the strength of our rains and several other ways that use nature, but don't affect it in a bad way."
Thomas said nothing but nodded impressed. The world had changed a lot indeed.
That day they did not much but talk and walk around. Calla and Milos explained several things of their world, but could not tell a lot about Dera. They talked about the Seraphims and everything the two giants knew about them. Which was not a lot more than what others had already told them. The day came to an end faster than the four had expected. The smaller sun had set a little while ago and the larger one had started to go down as well.
"I suppose you will stay one more night here for now." Milos said when looking at the setting sun and the rising moon. They started to walk back to the house. Sarah had asked if it were possible to buy some necessities, but Calla had pointed out, that sadly, no small human products are being sold in this town. The city was not very touristic and so not many humans from Dera would come here. A bit disappointed they didn't ask for it again. The cities for giants were tall and large, but not big in population. Giants didn't reproduce as fast as humans did, thankfully for their planet. But this also meant that the cities didn't grow much towards each other. The next city which might have had the products they would want to buy was 4 hours away, with the high-speed trains. So that being out of the question, they went back to the house.
