1. On a Southern Island beneath a land mass of nations lies people seeking shelter from the demonic tribe of Adenians. They formed life there when the original people of this earth were forced to leave their actual home and live there.
The Eneki people of the Ashio Nation went to have people explore and live there. While some years have passed, they encountered an Areanean Nation called the Nokinians and the mean tribe surprisingly befriended them.
Now when Suna, the princess of the Nokinian tribe marries a half Eneki man named Marlo, they have Dusk and Dawn together, and they finally go to Nokinia to the city of Jaro, the capital that wasn't raided, and live happily there.
When Dusk is thirteen and Dawn is twelve they go back to Southern Island to visit family. Marlo sits down with them on their personal family ship and says to them, " your mother is pregnant again, and we want to tell everyone about the surprise."
Dawn starts saying, "she's pregnant again?" Then Dusk says, "that is wonderful, a blessing, isn't it?"
"It is." Marlo rubs Dusk's little afro, smiling at both him and Dawn.
They end up at the dock where everyone seems to be greeting them, looking elated to see them.
Suna starts saying to them, "now everyone here speaks Eneki and Nokinian, this is your time to use what we taught you."
Dawn replies with, "what about you?"
"When we first got here, I learned Eneki while Marlo became fluent in both languages, so..." She turns to face them, "please try, I expect a lot from you two and you both know that,” she suddenly glances over at Dawn, “especially you.”
Dawn nods at her mother, understanding what the frown on her face and what that gesture was.
After this, they make it to Marlo's father’s home, where they will be staying.
Enjoying their time meeting their family, surrounding themselves with the joy of the island, Dusk and Dawn enjoyed all that they experienced so far, and no longer had any complaints, so far...
As they are both sleeping this same night, Dawn is suddenly woken up by these bright lights flashing through her eyelids, to the point where Dawn kept tossing and turning, holding the pillow to her face, hoping it would stop the strange glow from flashing on and off.
But it didn't stop.
Dawn jumps up, tired of whatever that is. She ends up walking to the flap of the tent, looking out to see everyone else asleep.
Putting the flap back in place, Dawn, now frowning and confused, wonders why there is no light shining now that she is awake.
"What was that..?" She whispers to herself, feeling slightly scared by it.
Turning to Dusk and seeing that he is glowing, his entire body, Dawn gasps loudly, waking him up from it.
Dawn walks over to Dusk, saying in a frightened tone, "Dusk...Why are you glowing..? You're glowing, and I'm..."
"I'm what?" Dusk jumps up, looking at his clothes and skin. Shocked as well, Dusk holds onto Dawn saying, "we need to wake up mother and father, and get the guards as well."
Dawn nods as Dusk gets up, saying to her, "it's like an aura, yours is pinkish."
"What is wrong with this island??"
"We don't know if it's the island doing it, Dawn."
"Well, we did not go through this back at home?"
"I know Dawn." Dusk looks out, waving his arm for Dawn to follow him.
They both go out to show their parents what is going on, but...
Everyone is gone.
The sound is only of the gushing waters, and night flies that haunt the island. This causes them to look all over in a panic to find everybody.
But, looking around for about two hours, now exhausted, they both stand back, standing on a hill together, looking at each other in complete shock.
Knowing that no one is there, they leave the area they are in to continue looking, until Dawn finds a pedestal that is shining like gold, "Dusk, come look at this."
He walks up to the pedestal as well, "Is that..." Dawn looks inside and sees it has a pink and gold ball of crystal in it. "These are crystals."
Then suddenly an earthquake happens, causing them to fall to the ground, and as they are on the ground, a big huge all red dragon comes from the dark skies, roaring at them with its vicious eyes staring them down.
Dusk and Dawn, in complete fear, start running from the dragon as fast as they can, running up the hills and being covered in dirt from doing so and from the long search they just did.
They finally find a hiding spot in a hole, "what's happening, Dusk!" Dawn says, highly afraid.
"Well, we're being chased by an ancient dragon for one!"
"Did the dragon...Eat everyone??"
"No, it couldn't have."
"Weren't dragons banished to the Isle of Titans years ago?"
"Yes! Along with a bunch of other creatures!"
ROAR
The dragon flies around continuously before it lands its big red feet below the dirt hill.
"Are we going to die, Dusk? I thought we would be more protected than this...Our lions wouldn't even survive this." Dawn somberly says this to Dusk, as if giving up already.
"No, not at all, we can get out of here, never say that you're going to die, it's like suicide, you have to try and save yourself." Dusk and Dawn lean against each other as the roaring sound continues.
ROAR
Dawn closes her eyes and begins to slowly cry, and everything sounds like it's fading around her, then the sound of laughter, then phrases being spoken in Eneki that she has yet to understand is heard in her right ear, but it was the voice of a young man, not Dusk's at all, sounding like nobody she recognizes.
Then strangely the sound of the dragon fades, everything is now quiet, even the worried voice of Dusk.
She immediately opens her eyes, seeing Dusk comfortably asleep across from her. She questions everything before saying, "what...? Was that all a dream???"
She looks around with confusion until she finally wakes up Dusk. He slowly wakes up, then with a sudden burst of energy he sits up, saying, "Dawn? What's going on...I'm…I’m in my bed again? How??"
"You had the same dream??" Dawn asks with wide eyes.
"Did you see a dragon, sister?"
"I did, a big red one that was chasing us."
"And we were alone, weren't we?"
Dawn nods her head, "yes, we couldn't find anyone, we must pray about this, about how did we both have the same dream?"
Once they do, Dawn hugs Dusk saying, "I'm glad I'm not crazy, we need to figure out if everything is truly normal now, and that our prayers have been answered."
"Let's check the pedestal first."
"Right."
Making it out of the tent, the guard who watches over them asks, "where are you two going, your highnesses?"
Dusk turns to him with a smile, trying not to sound weird after what both he and Dawn saw, but he keeps his cool and says, "we both need a potty break, I request we be alone for this."
"Not one at a time?"
Dawn crosses her arms, "Dusk takes too long."
"I'll be right here." The guard stands straight again, looking off into the distance as they quietly walk off, feeling an overbearing relief seeing that everyone is there and asleep, like they should be.
They see that the pedestal is indeed glowing gold once walking up to it, and inside are the pretty crystals that Dusk saw.
Dusk walks around it in confusion saying, "What is going on, this place is..."
As he is talking, the wind starts blowing from all directions on the island. Then the dragon from before shows up, awaking everyone on the island.
"Children! What did you do?" Marlo shouts as he runs to get them. As
Marlo grabs them, but the dragon sits right before them, scaring everyone from getting to them.
Oddly enough, Dusk and Dawn’s hair slowly starts changing from dark brown to a golden color for Dusk, and dark brown to a magenta color for Dawn.
Suna runs up to them, saying, "Marlo, be careful!” She turns to Dusk and Dawn, "we're going to save you guys okay?"
"Suna! Back away!" Marlo suddenly shouts.
BOOM
Everyone flies backward from the sudden thrust of the dragon, except Dusk and Dawn.
"Why didn't that affect us?" Dusk questions, still watching everything going on.
"Get them out of here! They have somehow awakened the demonic red dragon! That thing was banished long ago for its ravaging and vicious doings." The village leader says.
Marlo walks up to the pedestal, trying his best to not disturb the dragon as it sits quietly with Dusk and Dawn.
He looks keenly at it and grabs the crystals from it saying, "these crystals, the quake, the changing of the sky and day, I think they might be…” Marlo's eyes widen, then he sighs, looking over at Suna before saying, “we shouldn't be here, tomorrow we will leave first thing in the morning."
"Please, this dragon must leave,'' the village chief replied angrily.
"Father, Dawn and I have no clue on what's going on? What is happening?"
"I know you are all confused, but we got what we really came here for, now get some sleep, Dawn, you too."
"But my hair?" Dawn grabs a strand of her hair, saying, "it's magenta?"
"Don’t worry about it, let's just go Dawn."
In the morning they dock the ship in the opposite manner of their arrival, sitting quietly as the ship leaves. Marlo looks as if he needs to say something else at the moment, but both him and Suna keep quiet, all the way home.
