Chapter 12
Jade stood in line with his guildmates on stage as his team was announced nervously.
What if he fucked up…..like he died in the first wave…..or failed to heal the tank properly.
His mind was a wreck and he jumped as his guildes intro song started playing and everyone in line started walking forward towards the front of the stage.
“WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS FOR WE ARE THE ELITES!” Roared Ranydom and his guild mates started screaming and pumping their fists in the air as they jumped up and down, making the stage shake slightly.
Jade’s eyes widened and he did his best to copy them so as not to seem like a wimp and to help intimidate the other team.
Even though intimidation wasn't really his thing.
Ryuu was still invisible next to him with his tail wrapped around him, keeping up whatever magic he was using to keep him undetected.
His guildmates began to start introducing themselves and Jade’s body grew ridgid once he realized he would need to also do so.
A mic was placed in front of his hidden mouth and he rasped out his name and roll.
“I am Jade Salem Sage, Healer for the Guild of Elites.”
The crowd roared after everyone had finished and both teams were walked to their places.
Jade was buzzing with nervousness and anxiety as he sat down in the chair.
He made sure he had all the food and things his character needed before saying he was ready and being tossed into the dungeon.
The main objective was to finish the dungeon before the other team.
His team used speed boosts and mounts to get to each boss room as fast as possible.
It was insanity how many mobs were pulled and Jade barely held up against healing the team as they went.
He managed to keep a level head however and they made it to the first boss room.
The dungeon had 3 bosses and the first one was a giant ghoul named Skurl.
A haunting melody played as they opened the doors, and cold mist swept around them before clearing to show the blue glowing ghoul in the middle of the room.
Skurl let out a loud groan and shuddered, causing chains that were wrapped around him to clang against each other.
The archers in the group let out a party speed buff and then the tank walked towards the first boss.
He pulled out his sword and clanged it against his shield, letting out a terrifying roar and aggroing the boss.
Jade put out a shield on the tank while the melee people in his group moved towards the boss to start beating the hell out of it.
Jade slowly made his way into the room behind the range team of spell casters and archers.
He placed a healing totem on the ground to give small spurts of healing to the people near him.
The tank took a large chunk of damage that even caused Jade to wince.
He pressed 5 and soft green mists swirled around the lead tank and popped into a cloud of glitter, completely healing him back to full health.
It took nearly 20 minutes for the group to bring down Skurl and instead of taking a break and talking strategy they immediately started moving to the next room.
Jade had no idea if they were ahead or behind the other team, but there was no time to check as his team members opened up the next room to the next boss.
A loud cackle started as soon as the doors swung open.
A red hue engulfed them as Jade could see blazing fires randomly flaring around the room.
A large black squid-like creature was sitting in a pool of lava cackling like an old woman.
“YOU WANNA PLAY BOYS?” The monster's mouth was filled with needle like teeth that clinked and clattered as the boss spoke.
This boss was named Lava Lady?
With a question mark of course.
Jade winced and everyone in the team took fire resistant potions before the tank started moving towards Lava Lady?.
The tank pulled out his shield and smashed his sword against his shield to start the fight.
