(Warning: Violence)
“Aaaah, wow, this is amazing,” Izariella breathed, as she spun around in the spacious room before flopping back on the queen-sized bed. With a look of bliss, she slid her arms across the blanket.
For the first time, Izariella had finally received a vacation-a two month vacation.
“We’ve all had a talk about it and…”Tanava sighed. “We believe it is about time you had a vacation,” she held up two fingers. “You have two months, be back here by May second,” Tanava gave her a stern look. “Do not waste it..”
Izariella opened her eyes, whispering, “I’m not,” to the white ceiling. She sat up and yanked her messenger bag from the floor and dumped the contents on to the furnished black carpet.
Pamphlets, magazines, and other papers fell out. Izariella’s eyes scanned it all, overwhelmed with excitement by all the fests and parades she could partake in.
The human world can be so nice sometimes.
Izariella stood from her bed and pushed the curtains to the side, sunlight hitting her face.
Humans crowded the streets, children sticking to their parents’ side. A cloudless sky was a solid periwinkle.
“*Sigh* this is going to be the best two months.”

“Oh, princess Izariella, how you’ve grown.”
“Lieutenant, everyone has readied their positions, shall we make our move,” one of the men in white cloaks asked.
Lieutenant Norgin, lowered his binoculars, his eyes were a disgusting green, and his hair was mid-length and a dark-dull blue. He wore the same white cloak as the two beside him. “Yes.”
The man that had asked, put two fingers to his earpiece. “Move out.”
Several dozen men and women in cloaks, dropped from buildings, their cloaks blowing outward like umbrellas.
Bystanders shot their heads up and pointed, some screaming, others scrambling for their phones to try and get the bizarre scene on camera.

Izariella sat cross-legged on the end of the bed, watching cartoons on a twenty-inch T.V, ignorant to what was going on beyond the hotel walls.
‘How can a peppermint be so evil,’ she thought as she scribbled down an idea on her notepad.
*Crickle*Crackle*Crick*
Izariella paused, listening in on the sound coming from the door.
Her heart began to race, she had a bad feeling. She crept towards the door, forming a dagger made of pure ice in her sweating palm. She pressed her back against the wall, waiting for someone or some people to come through the door.
She waited…
She waited…
And waited…
And wai-
The door burst. Fragments of frozen metal and ice chips scattered across the carpet and bedsheets; cold blue mist filling the air.
Sensing danger, Izariella drove the dagger into unknown flesh.
The mist cleared…
Her dagger had hit home; right into a cloaked figure’s throat…
Izariella pulled it out; spurts of blood hitting her face.
Not a second to spare after the body crumpled to the floor; several others lept towards the blue-haired female.
As Izariella sidestepped-with the flick of her wrist, she conjured ice that took the shape of a short sword, before driving the blade into the person’s forehead. Taking the sword with her, Izariella ducked-two blades clashing overhead. Rising fast, she knocked their swords in the air. She slid to her left; catching one of the swords and twisting out of the way to escape the flurry of jabs.
From behind, someone grabbed her-surprised-Izariella dropped one of the swords.
“Lieutenant will be hap-”
Before he could finish, Izariella stabbed him in the thigh, making him release her.
“Shit! That bitch stabbed me!”
She tuck and rolled out of the way before a woman could grab her and stood up; when she turned around Izariella slashed open her throat.
Izariella backed away until she was against the wall. She counted how many people were left-three, but the man with the injured leg didn’t look like he was getting up any time soon-so two…
“Come with us quietly princess, and you don’t have to get hurt,” one of the cloaked men said.
Princess? Well, that explained everything. Izariella originally planned to spare their lives and run, but now she changed her mind.
Izariella raised her free hand and blasted ice shards straight to the man’s heart; he flew back, slid, and came to a stop-never getting back up.
The last cloaked person standing looked back at her companion and when she turned back she met with the same fate.
Izariella let her hand drop to her side and examined her room-now littered with bodies.
She made eye contact with the man with the injured leg.
Knowing this could only end one of the two ways, he manned up to the challenge and stood up; taking a hatchet from his cloak. He ran towards her, blindly swinging- Izariella stepping side to side was all she needed to do to keep him from landing any blows. When the swings slowed down she snatched the lamp from her nightstand and smashed it into his face, pieces of glass flying.
Using his lack of balance to her advantage, she jumped on him. Straddling his stomach and pinning his hands down with her feet; he was trapped. He screamed and struggled but it was no use. Izariella brought down her sword, stabbing him a total of four times in the throat.
Blood pooled on to the carpet…
Izariella breathed heavily…
It was over.
Izariella saw a shadow cross to the other side of the room-on instinct, she rolled back.
She stood up and was face to face with a...blurry figure.
Confused, Izariella squinted, her eyesight wasn’t perfect but it wasn’t terrible either-
Izariella flinched, unconsciously placing her hand to the source of the stinging sensation.
Cursing herself for not being faster, she pulled out a dart from her shoulder. It was a solid blue with tiny writing on it.
It looked ordinary except for the needle -it had a blue tip.
Throwing the needle aside, she charged towards the figure-but something was off. It felt harder to control her footing and her speed was slower.
Before she could reach them, Izariella was knocked off her feet by a rod to the side of the head.
She laid there -limp-trying to stay conscious.
The last thing she saw was boots stepping into her field of vision.
“Goodnight...princess, you’ll be home soon.”
Everything went black.
