Alex:
One week has passed since that day, I’ve been getting very impatient. Every single time I try to talk to this Noah guy, something happens and then I miss that chance. I know I have bad luck but this is just annoying, I don’t even know how to approach Noah anymore.
It’s Thursday today and now I’m just laying on my bed, I know that tomorrow is my last chance. After that I swear I’ll give up if I fail to say at least one word to Noah. It’s driving me crazy, I’ve tried for one whole week and still have had no progress whatsoever. Anna said that we’re friends, but I don’t believe it, she’s a nice girl. But I know that she didn’t really mean it. It’s kind of surprising how fast people can make friends these days, it’s still unbelievable, but I shrug it off. I started recalling the information I gathered.
Earlier when I had lunch, I asked all of the people who consider me a ‘friend’ if they knew where Noah sat. I got no luck, it seemed that no one really knew anything about him, After asking everyone I could I then started to look for him, though I got nothing in return. At the end of the day, just as I was starting to walk home, I ran into Anna and remembered that I couldn’t find her during lunch, so I decided to give the last of my efforts in asking. Anna said yes, it took a few seconds to process those words. But when I finally did, I looked her in the eyes and said “Where.” demandingly.
“And why do you want to know, hm?” She said grinning.
I blushed a bit, but made a quick excuse, “He dropped one of his notes and I need to return it to him.” Which I admit, was a good one.
“Yeah yeah. Anyways, he sits behind the school during lunch.”
I thanked her, then started to make my way home. I was a bit freaked out by how much she knew, but maybe it’s because she can easily find out secrets. I found out that Anna was, for number one, a bit popular, and that she was an expert at things that were I.T related. One of those things is hacking, and that scares me a bit. It's mostly rumors though, so I'm not sure if it's true. Maybe it’s better if I don’t hang around her too much, it’ll save me from accidentally blurting out anything that could be ‘exposed’ in front of her. Just in case.
I snapped out of my thoughts, maybe all I needed was to just calm down. There’s no point in getting frustrated. What does weird me out though is why I’m so determined to meet Noah. It irritates me, I hate it when I’m curious, I haven’t acted this way, especially for a person that I know for nothing of. I decided to let my stress distract me tomorrow, so I put in my earphones to relax a bit more.
Once I started listening to music, I felt at ease. About half an hour later, from the sound of the music and me quietly humming to myself, I slowly started falling asleep. It was pretty late, maybe I should go to bed. I stopped my music from playing and then instantly fell asleep once I closed my eyes.
I woke up in a large room, a room that wasn’t mine, a room that I have never seen before. This room was completely white, there wasn’t much in it. Only the bed I was sitting on and in the distance a table. The table was small and round, there was also a chair next to it. Out of curiosity, I got up and began walking there. My mind was spinning, it was hard to stand, it feels like I’m drugged. As I started getting closer, I noticed that the chair and table were moving further away. I was confused, but chose to run after it.
Just as I started running, something pulled me back by my wrists, something that hurt when I tried to move again. I looked down to see what it was, chains? I didn’t see that before. Why did I have chains attached to my wrists? I looked back and saw that the room was now empty, no bed, no table or chair, just endless. The only thing that I could see were the chains on my wrists coming from the far direction of where I first woke up.
What is going on?
