Jaxon knocked on the door to Blake and Alex’s door. He had asked Alex in class for the location of their dorm-room. Alex was still in class while Jaxon decided to skip to visit Blake who got a few days off as he had a hard time moving. He brushed off his clothes and stood straight as he could hear someone come to the door. The door slowly swung open and Jaxon could feel himself freeze as his gaze fell upon Blake who looked up at him with curious eyes.
Blake had only a shirt and boxers on. The white shirt was way too big for him and fell down to show his pearly, fair skin. Jaxon could feel his face turning red and his mouth goes dry. Nightmane howled from within his mind and he could only hope that he himself didn't let out a howl. God this was torture.
Blake turned crimson and pulled on the front of the shirt to cover himself up while avoiding Jaxon's gaze. An action which only triggered Jaxon more. Jaxon's lustful gaze turned to a frown when he noticed the bruises on Blake's body though. They had mostly faded but there were still some traces of abuse. Now his wolf had started to growl and Jaxon turned his prayers towards hoping he didn't as well.
He cleared his throat and removed his gaze.
"Sorry, I did not mean to interrupt. My brother, Principal Price, send me to check up on you."
"Of course, come in," Blake muttered and it was only through Jaxon's enhanced hearing that he could catch that.
Blake opened the door and Jaxon winced as he heard the door close behind him. At his left, he saw a bed covered in a black sheet with cherry- blossoms. It clearly was Alex’s bed. On the right, there was a plain white and gray striped cover. It came with the room. Jaxon could smell Blake's scent from that one.
Before he could control himself he laid down on his back in Blake's bed with his arms folded beneath his head. God, he must look like an arse but his wolf howled at him to put his scent on Blake's bed. It took everything he got not to roll around in his bed to make sure that it was marked with his own scent.
Blake frowned at him before limping to Alex’s bed. Jaxon awkwardly cleared his throat and sat up. He looked at Blake's leg which was covered in bandages.
"Right, how's the leg?"
Blake just blushed and shrugged.
"Yeah… It was a wolf right?"
Blake's eyes turned to his own and Jaxon frowned at Blakes's complicated expression.
"Then you believe me?" he asked and Jaxon could feel his heart race.
"Why would you lie about something like that?"
"Your brothers didn't seem to believe me."
"Screw them! I believe you, coinín!"
That earned Jaxon a smile from Blake which made Jaxon dizzy. He looked adorable. God, what was wrong with him! Jaxon thought but gave Blake a smile as well. There was an awkward silence while they both just stared at each other before Jaxon winced out of it.
"Right, do you remember anything special about the wolf? So that we may identify it?"
Blake frowned as he looked at Jaxon with disbelieving eyes.
"How many wolves do you have here?"
"Probably a few. Which is why we need to be able to identify it. We do not want to get the wrong one."
"There hasn't been any wolves in Great Britain for five hundred years."
Shit! Jaxon could feel himself starting to sweat.
"Well, maybe some have escaped from a local zoo. We did get a visit from a circus with exotic animals not long ago"
Blake still looked a bit unsure but seem to put it past him.
"That would explain why there was a weird cat as well. Alex is utterly convinced that it was an Asian golden cat? I looked it up and it fit the bill."
It was the longest Jaxon had heard Blake speak since he came here and he had to snap out of his trance so he could answer.
"Alex seemed unusual sure about this."
"He claims it was from China as well."
Jaxon made a mental facepalm. Of course, he did. Subtle, real subtle Alex.
"He's probably playing a joke on you."
"Probably, he fancies doing so."
Jaxon's phone vibrated and he looked at it to see a message from his brother.
"Get your arse here fast, Ace! or I'm throwing you off the team. Your handsome brother Kai."
Jaxon grimaced before apologizing to Blake who looked a little disappointed but became happy when Jaxon said that they would see each other later. Jaxon ran with light feet towards practice without any worries at all. All he could see was Blake's cute face in an all too big shirt.

"Why do your bed smell of Jaxon Price?" Alex asked and clicked his tung before he grimaced as he entered the room.
Blake laughed at that. "How could you possibly know that?"
"It smells of sweat, dominance, fine arse and a tad of stupidity. That spells out Jaxon to me."
Alex seemed to sniff the air before he grins at Blake.
"I smell a tad of lust as well. Maybe the mutt isn't as straight as I thought. Good for you!"
"The lust is probably mine…" Blake mumbled while turning scarlet under Alex knowing grin.
"It doesn't answer what he was doing here."
"He came to check up on me. Isn't he sweet?"
"A darling for sure. Very straight of him."
Blake rolled his eyes. "He came here to check up on me under orders from Principal Price."
"I'm sure that he was. Bloody sure," Alex answered and grinned as Blake groaned.
The door knocked. Blake and Alex had an argument with their eyes on who was going to answer that. Blake won with one gesture toward his injured leg. Alex groaned and went over to the door. Blake watched it open to see Leon stand there with a gentle smile which Blake subconsciously returned.
"What?"
Blake groaned at Alex's disrespect. Not unusual for him but still painful to watch.
"I'm here to see Mr. Oakley. May I pass?"
"Nope."
"Alex!"
"Fine! But you invite far too many men to our room. I'm just saying!"
Blake buried his face in his hands when it turned red. He could hear Leon ask what other men before entering. Blake peeked between his fingers to watch as Leon inspected their room. It was tidy. Blake had made sure of it even if Alex didn't care.
Alex threw himself on Blake’s bed behind Blake. He curled up rather protective around him. Leon brushed off Alex's clothes from his bed with a grimace before setting himself down.
"Sorry for disturbing but I heard of the wolf attack."
"Principal Price said it was a dog. A husky if I remember correctly," Blake mumbled. He showed his face which had paled with the memory of the attack.
"Of course he did," Blake frowned at Leon's sarcastic answer.
"You don't believe him?"
"I believe you. This is not the first time someone has been attacked by a wolf at Vale Academy and Principal Price has dismissed it as a dog attack. Apparently, none of the victims could differentiate between a dog and a wolf."
"Mate, that's rather on the nose, don't ya think?" Alex interrupted them and he sat up to put his arms around Blake. He started to rub his cheek against Blake’s and Blake could feel that Alex and Leon had a quiet conversation behind his back.
"Well, I decided to give you a get well gift," Leon said after a sigh which indicated that Alex won the argument. Blake looked curiously at what Leon pulled out of his jacket. A bracelet. It looked like leather braided with something else. A flower?
"Reach your arm out"
Blake did as he said and Leon put the bracelet on and seemed to hold on to his hand for a moment to inspect the bracelet on his wrist before letting go.
"It smells nice," Blake said and sniffed it. It was absolutely a flower. A yellow flower from the looks of it.
" Mountain Arnica. It is said to keep wolves away."
"And some cats. But not me," Alex added while frowning at the bracelet.
"Well, you are neither a cat or a wolf. Though you sure eat like one," Blake said and noticed that Alex rolled his eyes before laying down.
"Thank you. I feel safer already."
"It was my pleasure. I would rather not lose my best artist to some hungry… mutt." Leon got on his feet and waved farewell as Blake twisted the bracelet with a smile on his lips.
"Are you that happy over a bloody bracelet."
"It had been years since I got a gift. I am happy!"
"Good for you. Better get well soon so that you can go back to being his favorite artist. But you might keep that away from Jaxon though."
"Why?"
"He might get jealous!" Alex laughed but made a grimace at the bracelet. Blake could hear him mutter of something that would be a disaster.
