Life can change in the blink of an eye. One moment you're laughing and playing catch with your family and next, you're viciously pulled from that warm environment and sent into misery.
I once escaped this trial. I survived, but all my life has been in anguish after. I relived it in my dreams, what was done to me and the two other boys who had been kidnapped with me.
Now I was pulled back into my nightmare, unable to escape, as watching his face smeared with fresh blood and tears, while the light from his eyes faded away. His beautiful ashy eyes were switching off like a light bulb. In they, the electricity was still flickering, like my heart was throbbing.
A smile tattooed on his face was spread on each side of his cheeks. His flesh was cut deep to dwell for eternity, grazed into my mind and for those who will find us.
I cringed when saw that his spine was thrown beside his body. The sight made the bile rise up in my mouth. I was too mortified to move. He died trying to save me. My vision blurred, and I choked on my own blood.
The sharp beast claw filled with venom resembling a spear pierced my neck until its tip came out through my throat, making the blood ooze out through my mouth and from the hole that was left as he pulled it out. My body slowly went numb, as I awaited the inevitable. To be eaten alive.
I felt how rapidly I was losing my strength. Shaking, I reached towards his inert body, but I was dragged into the darkness through my thick blood, while the flesh was ripped from my torso. I was unable to shout. In a last attempt to live I grabbed hold of a log. My face was pushed into the muddy ground. A woody, earthy taste mixed with blood, restricted my breathing. I didn't feel fear anymore, only pain and then, a sensation of relief that my nightmare would probably end tonight. So I hoped!
I felt my heart beating fast, as I was thrown in the air as blood flooded from my hand. My finger's been ripped. As I fell to the ground felt pain erupting through my entire body, as it was squashed from a rock. I let out a gasp, while now all my body looked like a pile of minced meat ready to be ripped apart from my bones.
My eyes fell on the one which once I loved and flashes of memories penetrated my mind. I smiled, knowing how much I wish to die now, but I can't, she changed me.
I knew I was going to die the moment when those slimy fangs will pierce my heart. The whisper of a name slipped through my bloody and mud stained lips, "Yves...", as my body was swallowed by a thick pall of smoke.
