*Woosh*
"Ooh. That makes me dizzy…" said Kate. "Where are we now?"
Welcome to level 2.
"Level 2!?" Theo exclaimed.
Off in the distance, a harp can be heard playing a beautiful melody alongside a violin. People dressed in fancy clothes and bulking-looking cars roam the gravel streets.
"Um, Theo, are we in the early 1900s?" Kate asked.
"I think so…" He said.
*awoogah!*
"I do say, move out of my way sir!" Said a man driving by in a car.
"So what is our goal this time?" Theo wondered.
A radio was reporting the current news and they listened in on what it said.
"This just in, another severe catastrophe has occurred overseas. It has been reported that the Germans have taken over another city last week. We must keep…"
"Wait. Are we in the middle of a war!?" Theo said astounded.
Kate said "It definitely appears that way. Let's go."
They made their way to a military base that sends troops over to the frontlines and sneaked their way over to one of the planes that was about to take off. They silently hopped in and as the plane took off they were devising a plan to beat this level.
"Something tells me winning the war probably isn't the goal but perhaps something else behind the scenes." Kate said.
Then they felt a bump and realized they landed and were slowing down. Once they felt the plane stop, they tried to sneak out but someone had spotted them.
"Stop right there. What do we have here boys? Looks like some shrimps who should be with their mommas." Said a buff man dressed in camouflage.
"Uh, um, we got lost...and we were tired and fell asleep in that plane…" Kate nervously said.
"Shut yer pie hole, lil lady. Let's get you on home where ya should be." The man said.
The heroes weren't sure what to do. Just then, Theo spun around and punched the man across the face and he fell on the ground.
"What the heck wassat?!" He said.
Kate, without thinking, just kicked him in no man's land and wasn't gonna get up from the floor anytime soon. They ran as fast as they could to a nearby hangar and hopped into a jeep. Kate, having recently gotten her license, took the wheel and they drove off towards the battlefield.
"Wait, Over there." Theo pointed.
In a small clearing, there were a few men surrounding a small door in the ground. Another vehicle approached the guards and a strange man in a red suit stepped out and the guards opened the door in the ground for him.
"Something tells me that's where we need to go." Theo told Kate.
They left the jeep and crept towards the guards and proceeded to knock them out. Kate and Theo opened the door and went inside. What they found was a room with three hallways. First, they took the left and found themselves in a room full of guards and locked the door to keep them inside. Then they went right and found a seemingly endless abyss. With only one room left, they went straight and found themselves in an office.
"So. You've made your way to me finally. It took you long enough." Said someone.
The chair that accompanied the desk in the middle of the room spun around and a man in a red suit was sitting in it.
"What's your deal man?" Theo said.
"My...deal? Is that some sort of new lingo? It matters not. This is the end of the journey for you my friends." The red-suited man said.
His eyes turned yellow and shot beams at the heroes. They dodged with their quick reflexes and began to fight him. However, without their powers, it was a very different fight for the heroes. Paper flew in the air, pencils were thrust across the room and ink was splattered everywhere. Theo then distracted the man while Kate dealt the finishing blow and sliced his head off with scissors. The head rolled onto the floor and burst into pixels along with the body that went limp.
Everything once again turned into a void of pixels and a voice spoke.
Congratulations. Now preparing level 3...
