“ You know me already, but I’m Lily. That blind brat over there is Rin. Her brother, the other fox over there is Ark.” Lily said, glaring over at Rin.

“If anything, YOU’RE the brat, you annoying fuckwad.” Rin retorted, snarling in Lily’s general direction.

“Oh gods, not this again…,” Ark said, facepalming and sighed deeply.

“I think I liked it better as our “other selves” “

“Wait, this happened before? I didn't know you could hate people, Lily darling.” Atichime was shocked at the new revelation.

“Yeah, with recent events Chim, I've learned a few new tricks,” Lily said miserably.

“Ahh, so Lily hates Rin. Rin is sister to Ark, and Lily knows Atichime.” Flame stated. “And why are we here exactly?”

“Hiding from Cole, I guess,” Ark answered.

“Who is this “Cole”, and why is he so bad?” He asked.

“Well, you see. He’s trying to capture us and drain our powers so he can destroy the world or something like that. You know, typical overlord business.” Lily said with a shrug as she began to sharpen her broadsword.

“What's with all the pentagrams, Lily?” Rin asked.

“Part of my curse, Rin.” Lily retorted.

“Okay, so should I go out there and fight him. Or do you think I would die instantly? Oh, wait I’m already dead.” Flame looked at the cave ceiling in realization. “How does that work exactly… ”

“Flame, your physical body is dead but your soul was reincarnated into who we know as Kaito,” Ark said to Flame exasperated.

“So could I go out there and kill, this “Cole?” He asked.

“I doubt it. You could mess up our timeline. Am I correct, Ark?” Lily asked, turning to him.

“Yes that’s correct,” Ark responded.

“Hmm… okay. Well does anyone have shadow powers?” Flame asked pulling the duel swords from behind his back.

“Lilith does,” Ark said quickly.

“Darkness, Ark. Shadow is the weaker form.” Lily said, rolling her eyes as she approached Flame. “Besides, we’re already hidden by Atichime. Her powers are keeping us from being detected at this moment.”

“Can you power my swords up, just in case? Just touch the gems with your power.” Flame asked, holding the blades of the swords and pointing the hilts at Lily.

“Finally I’m useful,” Lily muttered under her breath. Her eyes glowed with a purple-black fire as she charged up the gems with the darkest of her powers. The swords glowed a light purple as she charged the swords.

“Hey, bro donde a ahora?” Ark asked.

“Wait, for one I don’t speak whatever that language is, and thank you, Lily. Now I can cover an escape if you guys need it. I’m a lot stronger than I look or you know.

“I doubt you’re stronger than Lilith,” Ark responded walking in the direction of Atichime.

“I would be willing to test that, but this is not the time nor the place.” Flame replied glancing at Ark.

“Si.” Then Ark realized. “¿Por qué y cómo diablos estoy hablando español?”

“Since when did you learn Spanish, Ark?!” Rin asked, very confused.

“Ich weiß es nicht. Ich weiß nur, dass ich gerade angefangen habe Spanisch zu sprechen!” Ark responded with a near perfect german accent.

“Und jetzt spreche ich deutsch!” Ark shouted exasperated.

“I have no idea what you're saying.” Flame said turning to Lily, “Is he always like this?”

“Nope. He’s never done this.” Lily told Flame.

“No, I don’t even know what’s going on,” Ark replied extremely confused then realized. “Hey, I’m back to English.”

“Okay, what the fuck is going on here?!” Rin asked, turning to the direction of Ark's voice.

“Well, Rin you have all nine of your tails correct?” Ark asked.

“Thirteen.” Rin corrected.

“Oh yeah. I forgot about that. Still, as a kitsune, with every tail we gain, we also gain an ability correct?” Ark asked looking at Rin.

“More or less,” Rin said with a shrug.

“I think that my fourth power is to speak different languages.”

“So you're multilingual. Cool.” Lily said with a shrug.

“Hey, uh, Atichime, uh, why is this place called Eden. It just feels like an empty cave.” Rin commented, feeling one of the stone walls.

“Oh! Well, this is just the entrance area!” Atichime said with a soft smile. She reached for an inconspicuous stone and pulled it like a lever. A stone rolled open and a large room opened up to reveal a vegetated paradise.

“Just as beautiful as it always is, Chime,” Lily said with a smile.

“Oh a garden,” Ark said

“Yes, a garden. A lost an undetectable garden. A garden lost in time.” Atichime replied as she pulled a sheet of vines out of the groups’ way. “We will be safe here. I can guarantee you that.”

“Are there Grapefruit growing here?”

“Yup! Any fruit you want, we got!” Atichime

Ark gasped. “Where is it?”Atichime pointed to the area where the fruit was.

“Over there.”

Ark dashed in the direction.

“Wait, so any fruit? Even off-world ones?” Flame asked looking at Atichime.

“I’m sure!”

“What about Gordotions? They're an off-world fruit from Kymtar, or when it was Kymtar. It’s a fire orange fruit about the size of an apple. They were the juiciest fruits I have ever eaten.” Flame said as his mouth watered up.

“YO! Flame! This what you looking’ for?” Ark shouted from across the garden holding an orange fruit about the size of an apple that matched the description.

“Ah! Those! Probably my favorite thing here to eat!”

“Yeah! Those! At least in death, I can still eat the glorious Gordotions!” Flame exclaimed as he ran over to the tree where Ark was at and grabbed as many he could carry. He put one in his mouth and took a large bite. The blue-tinged juices dripping from his mouth and the fruit as he ate.

“Hey man you should eat more respectfully this does belong to people,” Ark said to Flame

“Huh?” Flame muffled through a mouthful of food. “Oh, uh, thanks for the fruit!” He yelled at Atichime.

“And chewing before you speak would be good too you know,” Ark said finishing the grapefruit walking back to the group.

“Oh, ok.” Flame said finishing the fruit and sticking another in his mouth.

Chime giggled softly. “Oh, he’s fine. No one is really watching. Wait, where is....... D.E.M.?! Come on out! It’s safe now!

D.E.M. randomly jumped out of the bushes, he said, “Here I am, the magic D.E.M.! What do you need now?” D.E.M. asked

“Well, why don’t you show our guests to where they will be staying. The Lily Hall, if you will.”

“Tch. She even has a hallway named after her! Spoiled brat!” Rin snorted.

“Actually, the hallway is the flower hall, but mainly lilies grow, since Osal- er, I mean I grew them there before I met Lily.”

“Chime, It’s okay. They know about me and Jihaada.”

Flame walked over to where they were at, his arms still full of Gorotions. “What now about this Jihaada? Who’s that?”

“Oh, I forgot, you’re not Kaito.”

“Yeah, obviously. I am a lot more handsome and powerful than him.”

Both Lily and Rin scoffed

Ark burst out in laughter. “You? Powerful? Maybe, but handsome? Nice joke Flame.” Ark still said laughing.

“Ah, well at least among my own people I am…” Flame said looking down. “ANYWAYS! Well, now what?”

“You go to the place where no one knows where you are,” D.E.M. said.

“Yes. D.E.M., please show them the way.” Chime said, giving him a nod.

Ark continued to eat grapefruit.

“Show the way to where?” Flame said looking at D.E.M. curiously.

“Your quarters, of course!” Chime said happily.

“Of course you don’t go to your quarters, everyone knows where that is, even myself,” D.E.M. responded forcefully loud.

“Hey now, you didn’t just forget to tell them about me, now did you?” Her voice had changed to a deeper, more powerful, feminine voice.

“Oh, sorry. Well, Ark, you know about Lily having the soul of the goddess of Jihaada inside of her, right?”

“Yes, I’ve fought her lost but oh well,” Ark replied nonchalantly then took another bite out of his grapefruit.

“Who is this, ‘Jihaada’?” Flame asked.

“Demon- no goddess of darkness and destruction that inhabits Lily’s body and so Lily can draw onto her power,” Ark responded still eating the grapefruit.

“Well, you don’t know about her counterpart, the goddess of light and creation. Her name is Osaleus, and she inhabits my body.” Chime said, narrowing her eyes slightly.

“K.” he responded.

“Ah, okay. I would pretend to understand that but I’m dead anyway so I’ll just go along with it.” Flame said shifting slightly on his feet.

“It’s alright, I wouldn’t expect you to understand the lore of our book here.” Chime said with a smirk.

Ark glared at her for a sec then looked away.

“What?” Chime asked before looking for D.E.M. “Welp, let's just have Lily show you guys to your room, since D.E.M. had just disappeared again. Don’t worry, it happens all the time. Lily?”

“Got it, Chime. This way, everyone!” Lily called.

“Okay, why not…” Flame said walking towards her, his arms still filled with Gordotions.

“Please, no food in the rooms.” Chime said before walking off to tend to her garden.

“Don’t listen. Everyone disobeys that stupid rule.” Lily said in a hushed whisper to her group.

Ark still had his mouth full of grapefruit so he nodded.

Flame stuck the Gordotions under his shirt but the bulge of the fruit was still very obvious.

Ark finished his fruit right as they got to their rooms. “So these are our quarters?” He asked turning his head to look at Lily.

“Yup. Feel free to claim any room. Well, besides the one on the end. That one's mine.” Lily said, placing her hands on her hips. “Oh, and the one across from me is D.E.M.’s so that one is off-limits too.”

“M’kay,” Ark said walking towards a room on the right.

“Uhh okay, just don't mind me. I’m going to go into this room right here, but before I go in, is there anything else we should know about before tomorrow?” Flame asked slipping one of his Gordotions out and taking a bite of it.

“Nope. That’s it. Night!” Lily said before slamming her door shut quickly.

“Okay well…. Night guys. Nice to meet you all! Chances are I be gone by morning anyway.” Flame said smiling.

Ark walked into his room tired and ready for some sleep.

“Really? You wanna sleep again after sleeping for the past 2 weeks?” said a voice inside Ark’s head.

“Yes,” Ark said aloud tired collapsing onto his bed.
