Chapter Six
“Get over here you alpha bitch!” Marcus yelled at me.
I carefully walked over to the man who yelled out me. Marcus was a rogue that my father allowed to stay on our territory. He wasn’t very nice, and he was really scary. Or at least that’s what my 10-year-old mind thought.
A few weeks after he joined us, he decided that he was going to try and steal the pack from my father. He knew he couldn’t defeat my father the honorable way, a fight to the death, so he decided to attack him in the middle of the night with a dozen other pack members who didn’t like my father.
“Please don’t hurt me!” I pleaded. I accidentally made eye contact with him. He hated eye contact. It showed defiance towards your ‘alpha’.
“I think you’re looking for a beating little girl. Now that your father is dead, I’m your alpha and you have to listen to me!” He said looking at me as if I was a speck of dust.
“You didn’t defeat him the right way! You’re not only a traitor to his kindness but a traitor to all wolf honor!” I said looking him dead in the eyes. If no one else was going to stand up to him then I would!
“Well I guess you’ll be the first wolf I’ll have to imprison for disobedience.” He said snidely.
“Do whatever the heck you want but you will never be my alpha!” I said crossing my arms. Now you are probably trying to figure out how a 10-year-old is acting like this well let’s just say I was an early bloomer and I had Jake internally backing me up.
“Bring him over.” Marcus said pointing to another traitor.
I saw the goon drag in my twin brother Michael and started to get anxious. “What are you doing to my brother!” I yelled as he transformed his hand to a claw.
“I’m teaching a spoiled bitch a lesson!” He said and swiped his claw across his jugular. He fell to the ground motionless with a puddle of blood soon forming after. I saw the light drain out of his eyes and that’s when I finally comprehended what happened.
“Noooooo!” I yelled

I woke up in a screaming fit. This of course wasn’t the first time I woke up like this. It was times like these I could really use Jake. For the first time though in a very long time I cried after having the nightmare.
“It was all my fault!” I sobbed out still unaware of the other presence near me. It wasn’t until he said anything that I noticed him.
“Shhh…” He said rubbing circles on my back. I jumped at the contact. I pulled away from him suddenly not recognizing where I was.
Was I in here when I went to sleep? Yeah, I think so. I thought to myself. How stupid did I have to be to trust a total stranger, let alone an Alpha.
“Sorry I didn’t mean to scare you.” He said in his deep voice.
“Can you stop touching me please?” I asked trying to sound nice, but I don’t think I did. He retracted his hand anyway though.
“Are you hungry?” He asked moving away from me.
“Uh I guess?” I said. I was used to starving all the time. I didn’t feel hungry, but I knew I needed to eat something at least.
“What’s your name?” He asked before he left the room.
“I really don’t want to answer that.” I said. “I told the other guy the same thing.”
“Well I’m Adrian. Can I just call you the first letter of your name? Please?” He asked looking towards me.
“Just call me S then.” I said not having the will to turn him down a second time.
