Chapter Four
---Sunny’s POV---
I could tell when the Alpha was making his way towards me. His aura was unlike any I had ever encountered before. As he approached the room my nerves started to rise.
“He's going to kill me, isn’t he?” I said to myself, thinking out loud.
“Not likely” The voice literally made me jump. I slowly looked over to him dreading what I would see.
“Then why am I here?” I asked him, looking away. He was to intimidating to look at and I didn’t know what was going on.
“You’re here because I want you to be.” He said bluntly.
“You don’t even know me.” I said crossing my arms and looking at him. I almost gasped out loud when I finally saw his face. He was beautiful. He had emerald eyes with jet black hair and sharp features. I didn’t dare look further down because he was probably built too.
“Hasn’t your wolf told you yet?” He asked looking at me almost in a disappointing manner.
“He hasn’t talked to me in years.” I said a twinge of pain in my voice. You see us werewolves have inner wolves which is how we find our mates and basically survive as werewolves. Mine, Jake hasn’t spoken to me since I had to runaway and that was about eight years ago. He said that it would help save my energy if he went back into the spirit realm until I was healthy enough to survive for us both.
“That’s rough. What did you do that made your wolf dessert you?” He said leaning against the doorframe. Now that both pissed me off and made me feel deep sorrow.
“I-I didn’t do a-anything! It w-wasn’t my f-fault!” I yelled at him as tears filled my vision. I hadn’t cried since I was thirteen because I couldn’t afford to waste those kinds of nutrients. I missed Jake so much. It was hard to live missing such a huge piece of yourself at such a young age. Some nights I would try to get him to come back, but he never did.
“I’m so sorry I didn’t mean it like that.” He said walking towards me. His movements frightened me, he was just to scary at that moment.
“No! Don’t fucking touch me!” I yelled curling up in a ball. I couldn’t stop the tears. I was crying way to hard right now. I was near the point of hyperventilating.
“Shh, you’re safe I promise.” He said sitting on the floor beside the bed.
“No, I’m not safe! I won’t ever be safe from him! He’ll find me someday and then I’ll be dead!” I sobbed out. I tried to suppress the memories that were trying to appear, but they wouldn’t listen.
“Make them stop. Please make them stop!” I yelled holding my head. I felt someone touch me but for some reason I didn’t move away. The touch almost comforted me.
“Shh, I will protect you, I swear. You’re my other half.” He said holding me on his lap. I was gripping his shirt as I tried to calm down. That’s when his last sentence finally registered in my head. You’re my other half. He’s my mate?!
