Shoko wakes up feeling exhausted. “What happened?” She asks. “Did I blackout? Who was I fighting?” She continues. She knows the reason for her blackouts. The reason she lost her parents. Her anger. She looks around the room she’s in and notices some flowers on the ground near her bed. She sees the note beside the flowers as well. She picks up and reads the note. “Hm. Seiji really cares, despite how silent he is.” She says. “What was that?!?” She hears in the room next to her. She draws back the infirmary curtains, to see Leon, looking around in another bed. Leon notices Shoko and looks somewhat surprised. Shoko takes a good look at Leon; then she sees the bandage wrap around the chest. “Oh, oh my…” She covers her eyes and starts rolling around on her bed, tears draining from her eyes. “What? What happened? Are you alright?” Leon starts asking as he starts to feel sad himself. Shoko sits up, trying to calm herself down. That’s usually why Seiji is there with her wherever she goes. He’s the water to her fire, always there to calm her down. “Why are you crying?” Leon asks. “It’s… It’s just…
-----------Flash---back--------------
“Go wake up your sister! It’s training day.” Eliza Tojo (Seiji and Shoko’s mom) tells Seiji. “I’m already up.” Shoko yells back. “You’re always so angry on training day.” Eliza says. “You should REALLY lighten up.” “Well, y’all always just praise Seiji for his quickness and efficiency, but you never even compliment me. You and Yusuke (Seiji and Shoko’s dad) aren’t open to any other fighting style.” Shoko replies annoyedly. “Yeah, it’s hard for me to improve if you only tell me I’m good when I’m within your fighting standards.” Seiji says, trying to back up Shoko. “Well, our standards are the best standards.” Yusuke Tojo hollers from the kitchen. “Well, you know what? I’m tired of this.” Shoko says confidently. “And what are YOU going to do about it? Yusuke says, walking slowly from the kitchen. At this point, both parents were towering above Shoko and Seiji. They reacted from their feelings of scaredness. “Ah...ugh.” Their parents were mumbling. Shoko had grabbed her dagger and dashed straight through Yusuke. Seiji had done the same to Eliza. As their lifeless bodies laid on the floor, Seiji started falling into tears. Shoko had hardened up at that moment. “We did what we had to.” Shoko said to Seiji. It didn’t help the crying. They wasted no time traveling to many temples and sacred places, living with many gods and protectors, and learning from each one.
---------Flash---back---Over--------
“Wow.” Leon said in response. “I didn’t know you and Seiji had it that bad.” “Yeah.” Shoko responds. “They never loved, or… VALUED me. Not as a person, not as their-” I value you.” Leon interrupts. “I love and value you a lot already. I love your personality, your skills, your mindset. I don’t mind this injury, as long as it’s from the person I love. You!” Shoko froze. She didn’t know how to respond since she’s never been in a situation like this. “I...I love you too.” She finally responds. They both blush. They hear a knock on the infirmary door. “Is everything alright up here? I heard a lot of talking, so y’all must be alright.” Valkyrie said. She opens the door. “Let’s check on you two since I’m here. Have you gotten some rest?” “Yeah!” They happily respond. “Hopefully your not lying, because if you are, this will hurt.” Valkyrie pulls out a Valhalla rank spellbook, written by Ymir. She stuck out her hand, and within seconds, heals back to their normal state. Shoko, your heavy armor is in the armory getting repaired, but you both will be ready for the Entrance Exams tomorrow. They both looked delighted!
