Luckily, just as Alexander hoped, their room was near the center of the ship, on the third deck down from the top. The area was named by the ship's map as Gamma Quadrant, and Julian's first order to Alexander was to stay in the area.
The two didn't spend much time near each other after they checked into the room and dropped off their bags. The concierge assigned to Gamma took down their notes: do not disturb at any time, bring extra towels and a bucket of ice each day for the sea sick Julian, and a fruit every morning for Alexander. Together they looked around the dining area and ballroom of Gamma Quadrant, which was the floor they were on until a fire door and stairwell led them up to the next two flights where their entertainment was. A few games were planned, along with some tabletop arts and crafts, along with three different pools one could spend time in: one outside, one near the first meant for children to play in with a manufactured waterfall and shallows, and the last was indoors meant for adults to just swim about and relax.
When Alexander took a few steps to look at the farthest away swimming pool, Julian caught his wrist and pulled him back. The action caused Alexander to spin like a top straight into the knight's arms and bump against his chest.
Before the young lord could ask what was wrong, he heard a gruff laugh behind him. Straightening up a bit, but not moving away from Julian, Alexander peeked behind him to see a rather large man and equally large woman, both fashionably dressed like a lord and lady. “Watch where you run before you run into people richer than you!” barked the man with a bitter laugh. The woman laughed next to him as they took a few steps around the couple.
Julian glared at them, but turned his eyes to Alexander. “Be more careful.” Alexander's eyes shot to him full of surprise. Julian's tone sounded almost nice and warm. “I can't have you getting any unsightly bruises on you.” The knight continued, leaning so their noses brushed together. Just when their lips were about to touch Alexander jerked his head down with a flushed face.
