I don’t know how long I laid there naked on the ground. Minutes, hours maybe even days? It was dark out that’s all I knew. I didn’t have the courage nor the strength to get up. I had my back to the entrance of the small nook between the two buildings. I was to afraid to even move.

Then like my life wasn’t bad enough already it started to rain. I heard running footsteps going past the two buildings probably people trying to get of the rain. I felt so tired that I couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer. I some how fell asleep in the cold rain.

When I woke up it was still raining, and I was outside, but something was covering me. I opened my eyes hearing a voice.

“God, what the hell happened to you?” A familiar voice said to himself still unaware that I was awake.

“Who…who are…you?” I asked barely managing to move my swollen face.

“It’s Damon. I’m going to get you out of here.” He said as he lifted me up.

“Ah!” I screamed out as he moved my body. Everything was hurting. My chest and ribs most of all.

“Sorry, but I have to get you out of here and give a warm bath, so you don’t get sick.” He said as he almost ran to wherever he was taking me.

He opened the door to what looked like an apartment building, but I really couldn’t tell because my vison was really blurry.

“I’m going to sit you on my bed, okay? Try to stay awake.” He said and rushed to the bathroom to put water into the bathtub. Sitting up and staying awake was like trying to homework at one in the morning; you just really wanted to go to sleep.

“Okay the tub is ready.” Damon said as he came back into the bedroom. “I’m going to lift you up again and its going to hurt again.” He said as he lifted me up as softly as he could.

He walked over to the tub and carefully slid me into the warm water.

“Mmmm,” I sighed as the warm water warmed me up. I opened my eyes and saw Damon grab a washcloth and some body wash. “I…I can do it… myself.” I said sleepily.

“Just let me to it. You can sleeeep” Damon said in sing songy voice.

“Fine.” I said and relaxed. I was too tired to argue. Soon after that I fell asleep.
