Gish: A play on words. People ask how I was "holding up" and I would giggle to myself because I'm literally holding my bones in right now, why are you asking me this, can you not see what is going on. Unfortunately, invisible illnesses are really good at being.. well.. invisible.
Gish has a disability called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a genetic disorder that causes the body to have faulty collagen (which is EVERYWHERE. Gish's joints and digestive system are majorly affected causing widespread pain.), along with a handful of the rare conditions that go along with it; these include but are not limited to P.O.T.S. and Interstitial Cystitis. With the help of Sizlak, they approach this horrible combination of genetic diseases with a little humor in doodle format.
