I opened the door to the apartment surprised to find it unlocked. I could’ve sworn I locked it before I left and I told Seth to lock it if he went anywhere.
Another thing was weird to, the cats didn’t come to the door and I didn’t hear Seth moving around anywhere. I walked down the hallway and knocked on his door.
“Hey Seth, are you in there?” I asked. When I didn’t get any answer I opened the door and what I saw horrified me. Seth was in a curled up ball on the floor with countless slashes on his back, legs and arms. “Oh my God!” I let out a muffled cry.
I quickly called 911 and went to see if he was even alive. He better be alive! I carefully moved his head so that I could try to feel for a pulse.
“Thank God! You’re going to be okay Seth! An ambulance is on its way. You’re going to be just fine.” I said more for my own comfort then his. I couldn’t help the tears from falling. I kept my fingers against his throat to make sure he had a pulse the whole time. I was afraid I would lose him.
Who the Hell did this?! Who would dare come to my home and nearly beat someone I liked to death?! I was going to get revenge and deal it back tenfold. I don’t even give a fuck if its his damn mother. She’s gone way to far.
I laid there with his head on my lap crying until the paramedics came. I followed them out to the ambulance and got in the back. I was a kind of daze where everything I was doing didn’t feel real. I was numb. It felt like I was floating.
“Is he going to live?” I asked the two paramedics in the back.
“If we get to the hospital in enough time he should. He’s lost a lot of blood. He’ll need a blood transfusion stat along with stitches and various other things.” The EMT said busying herself with bandage wrap and other things that I didn’t know the name of.
