Historians disagree as to the nature of the strange runed columns that rise up from the mountain range and give it it's name. Some believe they were a defense system for the few dwellings carved into the rock. A maze like "anti-wall" that confused more than guarded. Others maintain they were a part of the mountain folks culture and were used in a sort of catch and chase game. Such a game atop these stalky structures would require superior agility and leg strength.
