Ren got home late and went to get some food. He was surprised to see his father waiting for him in the kitchen a stern look in his face. Ren smiled faintly and went to the fridge. His dad was quicker though and blocked his way before smiling like a crazy man.

“Ren dear did you really think you would get fed?!” he asked his right eyebrow going up. Ren backed up and bumped into the couch he looked down scared to think about wat was going to happen. The blow did not come. He looked up at his father to see him smiling.

“I think there are some coins under the couch.” he said smiling. Ren did not hesitate he dove under the couch only to screech in pain. He tried to twist around but hands held him down. He screeched again tears in his eyes. Finally the pain stopped and he twisted out in time to see his sister sit down and slap him.

“Emmie…..” he said before another blast of pain knocked him out.

He woke up in his room judging by the light it was early morning. He went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror and noticed the bruises on his chest and arms. He sighed and got some concealer he didn't want to look bad on his second day of school let alone with his new friend Fen. his dad then stormed into the room and yelled at him to get going.
