-Jayden-

I was walking back to the bakery with Zeke and both of our emotions were all over the place. We were nervous, scared, angry, and depressed all at once and my dad being there made it worse. We arrived at the bakery and I opened the door with Zeke behind me. "You come into work during school hours?" she asked. "Yea, but it's for personal reasons...hey can I maybe stay here with him for a few days. I know it's sudden but you know how my dad is" I said and she nodded, "There's a guest room upstairs Jayden. You can stay, but you'll have to work after school more ok?" she said and I headed upstairs with Zeke into the guest room, shutting the door behind us.

"You going to be okay?" I asked. "AM I GOING TO BE OK! Jayden! I SAW MY MOTHER DEAD!" Zeke yelled with tears down his face. I guess it finally hit him. "I-I'm sor-"Zeke hugged me and I held him close. What Zeke goes through is insane, I feel terrible. His father left him when he was born and now this happens...how he does smile through it. "Zeke...my feet are sore," I said, "I don't care...hugs are more important" Zeke mumbled. Stubborn, he is such a stubborn turtle. "Thanks for caring Jayden" Zeke broke the hug and sat on the bed. "I stole this from you again...it keeps me company sometimes. Don't judge me" My face turned red and I handed him the turtle plush. "You want to do anything?" I asked and he pulled our vrsm's out of his backpack. He broke in...my father's house; I'm going to let that sink in for a while. I grabbed the device that was mine and sat on the couch putting it on. "You can take the bed, besides I usually use the device on my couch anyways" I put the device on and prepared to head into DragonKnight Saga.

-IN GAME-

I fell into the world with Zaro and got out my gun. "Why a weapon?!" questioned Zaro. "In case I see monsters and want to get levels on my weapon, Level thirty guns don't do much to bosses, yet I still kill them somehow," I said. "I've only been playing for a year and I'm on level twenty and you're on level thirty." It's because I've played longer. "GUYS! You're ok!" Minu hugged Zaro making him fall to the ground. "Darn Minu and I thought I was the only one being worried," Flame stated. Minu got up and helped Zaro off the ground. "Where were you guys?" I asked. "On a side quest for a rare gem and we found it. I guess it's a fake or something" I took the gem and looked at it. "It's a jokes gem. They had these two years ago when beta mode came out on April fools; I guess they kept them in for laughs. Gunslingers with a level 30 weapon can open them, so you want me to open it?" I asked and Flame nodded. I shot it open and a shadow clone came out of it.

"HA HA HA! You got jokes! Have rare stuff!" The clone turned into confetti and a scroll dropped on the ground saying, "Can't open me till level forty-five! HEHE!". "See. Joke Gems are jokes as they say" I said. "How about we all relax today. Ash and I have already been in this game for an hour and we have two hours left so...you want to have a picnic?" asks Minu. "That sounds great..but aren't they a thousand gold to have four people and thousand five hundred to have with five?" Phoenix asked and Minu bought a picnic which appeared right in front of us. "Too late now eat before your hunger goes down with your health in this game," said Minu and we all sat down and ate. The food won't help of in the real world, but it'll keep us alive and happy in this one.

"How did you all meet exactly?" asks Flame. "I meet Zaro because he was helping me with the annoying school news two years ago. I met Minu through Zaro" I said. "I met Minu in first grade and we've been friends since," Minu gave him the look, "HEY! Look! It's true! Unless your story is different" said Zaro. "We met on the elementary school playground in first grade, boom! Correction!" Minu threw her sandwich in the air and it disappeared. "I'm done, my hunger is at one hundred percent. What do you guys want to do next?" Minu got up and I heard a notification. I opened the menu and saw that we had a few hours until we had to log out. "Alright, there's 3 hours left. Wouldn't hurt to kill a few monsters to get weapon levels" I got up and Zaro teleported. "I hate when he does that. Did he seriously get a teleport to the hotel bed to leave the game?" Minu questioned and I nodded. "You know that usually happens when something is up with your machine or when times about up right?" said Minu. "Hang on, I'm gonna log off" I went to the menu and logged off.
