Awesome! I love how enigmatic the space elevator is so far. How it serves such a mundane function in the prologue here, as a landmark for the protagonist — but feels so important because it's such a fixture in the landscape of this world. (and mysterious, because, WHY IS THERE A SPACE ELEVATOR!?) The pacing is really nice (I like how minimal the news exposition piece is.) Also, great use of screentone! It feels like classic 80's manga. I can't wait to read more!
