Oliver's POV
-------------------------------------------------------------------------Stupid dream, I hate dreams. I'm standing in weird darkness. I could see the ground and it stretched further than my eyes could see. The rest was a pitch black, not letting me see where the walls or the ceiling were.
"Heellloooo?"
My voice echoed all around me. In a flash of light, there was a wolf standing in front of me, I backed up as it snarled at me. The hair on my arms stood up, there was something about this wolf. I felt my body start tingling weirdly as light enveloped me. When the light faded, I was a wolf too, the other wolf padded up to me and I could understand what it was saying to me by the way he growled and how his ears twitched and swiveled.
"This may seem sudden and I don't have much time to explain, so just go with it. For you to keep this power you must defeat our strongest with trickery, strength, and courage otherwise you'll return to original Oliver. No powers unless you defeat them all. You'll have three trials that go in the order I gave you. You can shapeshift into any animal, to defeat your opponent you have to trap them, knock them out, or get them to surrender."
My wolf-self nodded, as the background shifted. When the world stopped spinning, I was facing a fox in a field of grass hills. Okay, I thought, I just have to out-wit a fox, what animal could do that. An idea came into my mind, I willed myself to turn into a cheetah. The fox lunged and I bolted over the hills to find some trees.
I spotted a forest and picked up speed before I could tire out. I ran through the trees until I found a place with strong vines, and leaves covering the ground. Changing back into a human, I quickly tied vines together to create a net and covered it with leaves.
I shifted back into a cheetah and climbed up the tree where a vine waited for me to pull. I transformed into a human and held onto the vine, hidden in the trees. The fox sniffed his way through the field and walked straight into the trap. I jumped from my branch pulling the vine with me. The net swooshed up and captured the fox. The fox struggled as I tied the vine to a tree branch. I looked confidently at the fox,
"I win this round. fox"
I heard a sigh escape the fox and the forest was illuminated with the fox changing shape. I covered my eyes until the light faded from behind my eyelids. When I opened my eyes, I saw a man in a suit and tie smiling at me. He had somehow managed to get out of the net.
"Good job kid, you've got a smart mind. Keep sharp, they combined the final two trials last minute."
I nodded grimly as the scene shifted once again.
