It was Pride month. A month were LGBTQ have many events, come out and stuff. I've never paid much attention to it. In fact I completely forgot due to well, laziness. I heard from Nick that there was going be a parade. Maybe I should take Master to see it!
Slowly and nervously I walked to the Master's room, and knocked on his door.
"Maaassstterrr!" I opened the door. He should know it's me. No one else is going to be knocking at his door.
"What is it?" He grumbled organizing some papers. I probably looked weird. I had a broom in my hands, a faint, maybe dark, blush on my cheeks. My hair had been messy since I didn’t bother brushing it today. But let’s not forget the awkward smile.
“Ah..Are..AreyoubusylatertodaycauseifnotIreallyreallywannatakeyouona—Imeanouttoseetheparadetoday!” I practically said without a breath. Did I sound gibberish? Ah probably! Fuck me sideways!!
“...” If I had ears they’d be falling. I thought Master would at least make out the parade half.
“Ah! Nevermind! Sorry for bothering you!!” I quickly ran out of his office, too embarrassed to face him.
Of course he couldn’t want to go. Maybe he’s straight after all? Damn. Here I thought I had a chance.
Sometimes it’s so damn hard to figure out someone’s sexuality. Sometimes they act straight, then Asexual. Then there’s all these sexuality’s. Like demisexual, wtf is that again?
I pulled my phone out, holding down the home button before clearing my throat and speaking.
“Siri, what’s Demisexual?”
“Here’s what I found..” I clicked the first one that popped up.
A demisexual person is someone who does not experience sexual attraction to another person unless or until they have formed an emotional connection with that person.
Ah..Leo said that he was Demisexual but when he found Jane, he knew he was going to be happy for the rest of his life.
How do you know when you’ve found the right one? How do you know it’s not a mistake? Like how breakups happen. People are always saying that they found their other half of their heart, or whatever. But, are you sure? Check again. Maybe the colors don’t match up. Yeah, sure, it fits. But do all of the other pieces connect? Romance doesn’t make sense to me sometimes.
...
The kitchen seemed extra dirty today. Maybe dust? Ah the Master made brownies..I wish I could have one..
“Oi, idiot” The sudden voice caused me to jump.
“Y-Yes Sir!” I stuttered nearly having a heartattack. Master stood over me. Wait, did I seriously fall??
“Earlier..What was it you said?” He mumbled watching as I stood up, now towering over him only slightly.
“I..Wanted to know if you wanted to see the Pride Parade with me” I gave him a small smile, ruffling his soft hair, only to have my hand slapped away.
“Fine. Whatever. I’m getting stuffed in here as it is” Master then walked away. Leaving behind my stupid grinning self.
“Yes!”
...
“Master come on!” Master was in the middle of fixing his ears. He was trying to hide them with a hat. It was getting dark out and I didn’t want to miss the parade or fireworks.
“Shut up. Don’t rush me”
...
“Woooww! Isn’t it pretty?” I looked over to Master, who was next to me on his phone.
“Yeah sure” Master mumbled against his scarf. I gave a pout and took his phone.
“Wha-! Idiot give that bac-“
“Master..”
“What!” He growled glaring up at me. I started down at him softly. Putting his phone in my pocket, I leaned down to the Master. Moving his scarf out of the way, I began leaning in. Slowly I got closer, his lips so close.
“I..lo-..” The sound of a big explosion caught me off guard, pulling away from the master quickly. Looking up to the bright sky. Filled with beautiful colors. People around us cheered loudly. People had glow sticks, music blaring within the crowd. Everyone seemed so happy.
Fireworks. What a cockblock.
I looked back at master, his face lit up, a tiny smile forming. I couldn’t help but blush, and savor this moment. The Master never seems to smile. I..Actually don’t think I’ve ever seen him smile. I’d take my phone out, rapidly take pictures but..It wouldn’t seem right. So for now, I’ll use my eyes.
“Happy Pride month, Master”
