(Told from Finch’s view)
Great now we're both wet. I unhooked the leash from her collar and dragged her to the bathroom. I kept my grip on her the entire time. I got some of my clothes out of the closet and locked her in the bathroom with them. I changed into dry clothes and leaned against the locked door. “I can't have you getting sick and dying on me. Put those on.”
I heard some curse words getting thrown at me as she changed. She knocked on the door, “I'm done.” I opened the door prepared to grab her and lock her back up. But the second the door opened she kicked me in the stomach as hard as she could. “Ah!” She ran out as fast as she could chanting sorry as she went.
Great. I ran after her down the stairs and through the hall. I made it through the door fast enough to see her dart off into the woods like a startled deer. I ran after her. I was only ten feet behind her when I lost my footing and rolled down a steep hill covered in sharp rocks. I didn't feel anything until I stopped rolling. I could feel cuts and bruises along with a pain at the back of my head. I must have hit my head on a rock. I stared up at the sky not moving. The only thought that came to mind was the fact that there were no clouds in the sky. I heard running at the top of the hill as my vision started to blur.
My pet was standing at the top of the hill looking back and forth between me and the path she was taking. She seemed to be arguing with herself. As my vision went dark I saw her slowly start to climb down the hill towards me.
