“Pit! I sense another presence approaching in our direction! It seems to be hunting Yin! Keep your reticle focused on him and lead the force to him!” Lady Palutena instructed. Pit followed her orders by keeping the heat on Yin.
Yin grunted, being forced backwards into one of the cavern walls.More cracks appeared across the walls and began to spread like spiderwebs towards each other.
“Come HERE!” Yin shouted, prying himself from the wall and charging at Pit with his arm wreathed in blue flames.
Pit tried to dodge but his foot got caught in a crack in the ground.
‘OH NO! Nononononononononononono!’ He thought as Yin got closer.
“You’re all mine little ange-” Yin’s voice was interrupted by a crackle of thunder and a bolt of lightning arked across the room, striking him in the chest and sending him flying into the wall.
“YIN! Stop this, at once! You know how unstable you are in this form!” A voice spoke, forming from another lighting strike.’
“Huh?! What?! Wh-Who are you?!” Pit asked, scrambling to his feet and picking his weapon back up. Dark Pit dashed over to make sure Pit was okay.
“There’s no need for my name. All I need to do is get my idiot of a brother out of here.” He responded to Pit, his eyes glowing a light green. He then started to walk towards Yin.
“WAIT! THIS MUST BE YANUGAI!” Pit said as he took a double take at the newcomer.
“I think you're right, Pit. They look similar in stature, though Yin looks more…..demonic….” Lady Palutena said.
“Now, tell me, how do you know my name?” Yang asked scowling at Pit.
“Well, the gods know everything. Lady Palutena just relays information to me.” Pit replied, aiming his weapon at Yang cautiously.
“Ah, well it would be bad for you to go running around telling other people our names, but then again… we’re not supposed to be here.” Yang said with a sharp edge to his voice.
“N-Not supposed to be here?! What does that even mean?!” Pit asked, narrowing his eyes, as he was confused by what Yang had told him.
“Well, long story short, we’re trapped here and have been for quite some time. Now, we have plans elsewhere.” Yang said with a warning glare at the two and continued on his path small bits of electricity sparking off of him.
“You two are not going anywhere, on the behalf of the light goddess Palutena, as well as the nature goddess Viridi.” Dark Pit stated harshly.
“I don't recall asking you COPY!” Yang shouted, the last part appearing right behind Dark Pit and slamming him into the floor.
“If it’s any trouble, I would appreciate if next time, you would shut up and listen for once.” Dark groaning in pain as he got back up to his feet.
“So you gonna attack back? Copy?” Yang emphasized the last part appearing back in the middle of the room. While Yang’s attention was focused on Dark, Pit snuck up behind him and slammed his weapon into his back, propelling him forward.
“NO ONE messes with Pittoo!” He commented, glaring at Yang.
“Yang?! YANG! GET UP AND SHOW THEM WHO'S BOSS! Don’t let us down, now! You can do this! Save your brother! You can easily beat them!” A voice shouted in Yang’s ear.
Yang growled getting up slowly, small sparks of lightning crackled around himself some of it arked towards Pit. “Well then, your the first person sneak up on me in over a thousand years, Pit.” Yang sneered, looking back at him, the electricity sparking around him more violently now. “But let me show you the power of a Lord.” He smirked and charged at Pit nearly to fast for him to comprehend. His fist encased in green lightning.
“Pit! Watch out!” Lady Palutena shouted in Pit’s head before forcefully making him dodge.
“Whoa! Thanks Lady Palutena!” He commented before striking Yang with his weapon in a melee attack. He then flipped back to a jump pad and sniped Yang from a distance in the air.The snipe hit its target with accuracy.
“Nice shot, little bird, but you’re not the only one who can fly.” Yang called, opening a pair of big white wings from his back. He then drew two blades from his side and charged straight towards Pit.Dark Pit continued to fire at Yang while Pit did the same, dodging his attack.
”Stop jumping around already!” Yang shouted getting frustrated. His large wings making it hard for him to maneuver in the cavern.
“You are the one who decided to use his huge wings in a tiny cavern.” Dark Pit retorted as he went in for a melee attack while Pit sniped from a distance.
“Stop this AT ONCE!” Yang shouted as electricity circled around him and spread outwards, taking over most of the cavern and knocking the pitfalls to the ground. “Now, the fight more…. even.” Yang smirked as his wings folded behind him. Pit yelped with surprise while Dark Pit growled in frustration. Both leapt back up to their feet and they resumed their tag-team attack.
“Now the fight is closer to your guys’s favor! Take him down!” Lady Palutena instructed and the Pit’s did so, fighting Yang with a strong force to be reckoned with.
“Listen, there may be two of you plus a goddess on your side, but never underestimate a Lord.” Yang said, his wings completely disappearing and a large Ax nearly twice his size appeared in front of him. “Or else you might get hurt.” He smirked grabbing the ax and slamming it into the ground causing more cracks to appear and causing pieces of the platform breaking off and floating around the main island.
“Yang? Yang?! YANUGAI! LISTEN TO ME FOR A SECOND! We need you back the base. Something has come up!” The voice said in Yang’s ear. Yang growled something under his breath before looking from Yin to the Pit’s
“This isn’t over, Pitfalls. Mark my words.” He grumbled before taking off outside of the cave.
“Did- Did we just win-?” Pit asked before being struck in the back by Yin. “AHA!!”
“It seems that you two have forgotten about me. What a shame.” Yin commented as he circled the Pit’s
“Just what do you want from us?! Why are you doing this?!” Lady Palutena asked and Dark Pit helped Pit back to his feet.
“Oh, I don’t know, maybe..… “Yin started then stopped obviously confused he looked at the ceiling. “Wait why am I doing this?” He muttered and the black markings started to recede.
Dark Pit growled and used his staff to fire a barrage of attacks at Yin while he was distracted
Yin grunted in pain as he was forced backwards once again.
“No. Stop! I said, STOP!” Yin sent wave after wave of black flames at his attackers to no prevail, until he was forced through the back wall and fell through, the final hit being dealt by Pit as he fell off the platform towards a floor covered in lava. The entire wall he was forced through crumbled, allowing the angels to see Yin fall into the molten rock, shouting “NOOOOOoooo-.”
“It’s lights out for you, Yinishki!”

The two angels backed away from the hole that had ripped open in the ground. Yin’s body rose back into the air, blue flames beginning to spiral around him as he floated into the air.His eyes opened revealing pure blue light shining back at them. “Beware the two angels, avengers of their mother, peacemakers of the humans. The crucial pieces in the puzzle of this world. What they seek, they know not of where it lies, only what it is, for their minds have been set on it for plenty of years. The Big Four will need to make peace and save their fifth puzzle piece from catastrophe, should the world ever return to peace as it had been before.” He spoke, his voice deep and echoing throughout the cavern before he collapsed to the ground.
“T-Two angels? I thought all the angels were turned to stone.” Pit said, raising his eyebrows in shock.
“They were… I-It’s impossible that any of them survived the Genocide after Medusas’ Curse took effect on all flying angels!!” Lady Palutena said to Pit, her voice echoing in his head
Pit and Dark Pit started to leave the room, the flames that had covered the exit extinguished themselves. They were stopped shortly as another presence entered the room behind them.
“WHAT IN THE NINE HELLS DID YOU DO TO MY BROTHER?!” Said the voice of Yang from behind the two angels. He shot a lightning bolt towards the them, but only managing to hit Dark Pit, which sent him backwards into a wall.
Pit looked back to see Dark Pit in a crater and Yang holding his brother’s body, tears streaming down his face. Upon looking closer, they saw that the black markings had stopped disappearing on his body surrounding his right eye and covering nearly all of his right arm.`“Wh-What happened to him?” Pit backed up suddenly covering his mouth.
“That transformation earlier must have caused him to turn fully demonic.” Palutena said from behind Pit. She tried to approach Yang, but she was denied just as quickly
“No! You filthy suck up angels and your gods need to stay away from us! I should’ve heeded their warnings about how destructive you really are.” Yang said, glaring at the group and throwing up a wall of electricity to block their path from him and his brother.
“Calm down, we are only trying to help him. If you would just let us-.” Palutena said trying to calm him down.
“No! You stay AWAY!!” Yang shouted, the electricity crackling around him and forcing everyone to step back. “You’re the ones who killed him!” He continued to shout as the electricity became more intense.
“I’m getting us out of here, NOW!” Lady Palutena shouted and extracted the three from the cavern.
As soon as the light dissipated, two female figures dashed over to Yang and the dying Yin in his arms.
“Yang! What happened to Yin?! I heard your call and we came as quick as we….. could” The clearly older one said, skidding over to the kneeling, heartbroken brother. She gasped when she saw the markings, then clenched her fists. “Grrr, did those ungrateful god suck ups do this?! I’ll kill them myself! But first, Tai! My bag, now!”
The younger female rushed over and handed the older one her bag. The older one slipped her hand into the bag and pulled out a clear orb that began to react and glow gold when it touched her fingers. She shut her eyes, and when she opened them again, her eyes glowed the same golden color as the orb. She nodded to Yang, who cupped Yin’s hands and the orb was placed into his hands. She shut her eyes, allowing the healers magic to flow from her body, through her hands, to the orb, and into Yin’s veins. She imagined him well again, the way he was before the markings had taken over, and slowly they began to recede. The golden hue grew stronger and stronger until, with a loud gasp, Yin awoke, alive and well as he had been before.
