“Take me to your leader-hosen.” (avoiding copyright) Moth said.
As they walked, it became quite obvious who that leader was. Surrounded by...people, Moth stared in awe at all of the...varieties. All of the armed police they encountered along the way seemed to be dinosaurs, but the rest of the 'people' seemed very multicultural. Moth had woken up in a very empty part of town, a red haze of iron dust in the air, small, corrugated iron shacks. However, as the group walked further into what seemed to be a concentrated hive of life, the buildings turned into skyscrapers, and the diversity of species and clothing, mostly draped in technology that Moth presumed was jewellery because he'd never seen more that a flickering city light in the distance from the far off human town.
As they briskly strolled onwards, in a clear beeline, they collected many stares from all of these different types of people. It couldn't have been because they looked different to everyone else: they couldn't have blended in more. It was so diverse, a walking, talking racoon with guns strapped to a belt wouldn't have been noticed. It was sort of Moth's dream, really, minus the terrifying unknown. Walking around, surrounded by accepting people (but not too many). Her thought track was interrupted by a crying toddler, sucking on a visibly empty spoon. “Daisie, be quiet. Give me that.” A child, about twelve, visibly the older sister, commanded. She had dark hair and rainbow face paint on her head. “No Yilly! Mine!” The toddler screamed, with a noticeable lisp. The girl grabbed the toddler's hand and dragged her away, obviously shaking in fear from being near armed dinosaurs. Well, Moth thought, this can't be the usual then. Then he thought, well, I am an alien. The streets of rather metallic looking tiles were getting quite crowded, with no cars, but bi-cycles. More like hover-bikes, but still. The dino-cops surrounded Moth, making him seem like an criminal. That, an the alien thing, was probably why the stares were being gathered.
