A few hours later, Caleb was at his party wearing an uncomfortable black suit, red tie, and shiny new dress shoes. He took a sip of juice, careful to not spill any on his pristine and crisp clothes.
His eyes wandered around, trying to locate Mark. "Looking for me?" said a voice from behind him. Caleb turned around and momentarily lost his breath. There was Mark: hair coiffed, clothes ironed, and shirt partially unbuttoned.
Caleb stared at Mark's somewhat exposed chest. Seeing Caleb staring, Mark laughed, saying "My mom always told me that every time I wear a button down shirt in public, I have to leave the top two buttons unbuttoned to show off how handsome I am, but no more than that because otherwise that's giving people a little too much.
I have to wait until I'm alone with that person to unbutton my shirt more, so this is all you get right now." He winked. Luckily for Caleb and his face that was easily prone to blushing, he had been too busy admiring Mark's excellent physique to pay attention to anything else.
"Hey, fruit," Mark noticed, eying the fruit platter Caleb's mother had put together earlier. Caleb snapped back to attention as he watched Mark swallow a piece of kiwi.
"You know, the order this fruit is arranged in is really aesthetically pleasing," Mark noted. Caleb snorted. "What?" Mark asked, alarmed. "Nothing," Caleb said, smiling to himself knowingly. Of course Mark would notice something like that.
