The three of us wake up with a spring in our steps, running around our cabin all while trying not to wake anyone up at the same time.
"All cadets to the front deck"
The Intercom shouts, waking everyone up anyways.
"Are you excited?"
Violet asks, nudging me in the arm.
I nod and smile at her.
"Of course I am, are you?"
She smiles back, nodding frantically.
"Good morning cadets, I hope you all had a nice sleep."
Commander Weleka says, coming up to us and shaking our hands.
"I suspect you're all prepared for this mission?"
"Good morning commander. Yes, we're all ready to go."
The commander nods and walks Violet, Timothy and I to a nearby launch pod.
We begin to walk in, only to be interrupted by some loud clapping.
I smile and wave, Violet and Timothy following soon after, and then continue walking into the launch pod.
"The commander gave me the coordinates beforehand, I plugged them into the computer last night."
Timothy said, taking the co-pilot seat.
I sit next to him in my own seat and start up the pod, flipping different switches and grabbing ahold of the main controls.
"Launching in ten, nine, eight..."
A disembodied voice began.
"Make sure to keep your arms and legs in the pod at all times, you may need to grab onto something."
I say, just in time for the pod to launch.
"We're looking for a ship by the name of "Atlas". Its a cargo ship that was stranded a couple days ago outside of an asteroid belt, so we'll need to be careful"
Timothy stated, flipping some other switches.
"Atlas, asteroid belt, got it. How far?"
"One hundred thousand miles away, but with the ability to jump into hyper drive we'll make it there in no time."
Violet says, rather excitedly.
I grin, turning over to Timothy.
"Hey nerd, you never said this launch pod had hyper drive abilities."
Timothy shrugged.
"Well since you called me nerd I'm definitely not telling you. But yes, yes it does."
Smirking, I begin flipping switches, turning handles, and pressing buttons.
Finally, after what seems forever, I flip the right switch.
