I woke up in what looked like a castle throne room. I quickly scrambled up. Am I still asleep?
“Finally. Your here.” The voice was like soft leather. I spun around to face it. Standing by a giant door was a young woman. She only looked about two years older than me. So that would make her nineteen. If I was correct. She was tall with pale skin and dark hair. Set off by a pair of sky blue eyes. She looked at me with a motherly expression. “Come child, I need to tell you the story of the god key.” God key? What's that? Before I could ask she gracefully sat down on the stone steps she was standing on and patted the spot next to her. I decided to just go with the flow. It was just a dream after all. I sat down next to her and waited for her to speak.
She took a deep breath and started telling her story. “Long ago there were two kingdoms that ruled the Earth. The Wolves and the Veedas. The Wolves ruled the North and The Veedas ruled the South. The Wolves were half human half wolf hybrids that possessed wolf instincts, speed, and loyalty. Which made them extremely lethal. But the Vedas were equally as dangerous. The Veedas were half human half hawk hybrids they possessed wings for flight and grace. A random section of people developed other abilities as well. Like controlling fire, water, lightning, so on and so forth. Both races hated the other. But all this started when a Veeda princes fell in love with a Wolf prince during a meeting. They continued to meet whenever they had the chance. And soon the princes became with child.
To protect the child the Queen and King quickly coronation their daughter and married her to the wolf prince she loved. With the power that they possessed and King and Queen of the North they managed to protect their child Artemis until she turned eighteen. But Artemis possessed the instincts and loyalty of a wolf along with the grace and wings of a Veeda. No matter how much power they had they couldn't protect their daughter for long. Everyone either wanted her dead or to impression her as a weapon of war. And on her nineteenth birthday the North rebelled and the South attacked. They slaughtered everyone that stood in the way. Guards, nobles, servants. The King and Queen died giving their daughter a chance to escape. Artemis ran to the throne room knowing her death was coming. And with the time her parents death bought her. She enchanted all of her abilities, physical strengths, instincts, and training into a heart necklace. And gave it a task. As the enemy stormed the room the necklace disappeared and was sent to the person that could handle it. And that my dear is you.”
