Fiona Evermore- 25 years ago in the purgatory the demon realm.
After an entire night of discussing my crimes, The council had sentenced me to eternity in purgatory for killing my coven. I always knew those self-righteous celestial council would make me pay for killing my previous coven. but I never actually imagined those pathetic old geezers would sentence me to an eternity in the purgatory. but then again they did always despise my family.
" How long do you think, you'll last here witch? I can only do so little, to keep them at bay. They cannot wait to devour you. After all, it's not every day a witch gets thrown into the purgatory by her own kind."
He spoke In mocking and irritating tone. Nonetheless, his words held the wisdom of truth. I could hear the demons hollering and screaming all around me. All that kept them away from me was my magic shield, and with no source of nourishment I couldn't keep it up much longer. My strength, my magic, along with my sanity, they were all slowly fading away every day I spent locked up in this cage. I knew in the back of my mind it's only been four months since I was imprisoned in the purgatory but it felt like centuries.
The Purgatory was an endless space of ashy color. It was quiet and dark. It was filled with unimaginable Horrors. I could hear creatures strangling, suffering souls screaming in agony. Endless horrors filled my mind, day after day. It was horrible, and with every second that passed by, I could feel myself losing my mind.
"All I ask is to get to know one another, come to an agreement. Even perhaps make a deal? What do you say? "
Time after time, since my imprisonment here. He'd come back to my tiny little cage, always bearing fruits or water. I knew what his endgame was, his motives. So day after day he'd try to persuade me, taunt me, and tempt me with offers of freedom, among many other things.
I lifted my head up and saw the demon I have to come to despise and hate. The demon who tormented kept me a prisoner in this hell hole. An undead skeleton creature, whose's face was devoid of skin and flesh stared back at me. His skin the color of blood, wide shoulders with a muscular build, two large black wings, mounted his lower back. and From ear level, two spiky horns sprouted out, his eyes burned fiercely. but to My surprise, he had no tail at all.
I dragged myself up with what little strength I had left in me. Limped over to him and stood in front of him. I made sure to keep my distance from the crystal bars, that sprouted from the ground and drained my magic life force. I wrapped my arms around myself, hoping to keep the cold away and breathed in heavily, with as much conviction as could muster, I screamed.
" I will never give my daughter to you, ever! you fucking demonic devil. I rather die with her in my womb, than to ever let you devour my innocent child. "
He was quiet for a moment, then he suddenly threw his head back. laughing very deep yet chilling laughter. All over sudden he stopped laughing and unlocked the cage with a wave of his hand. I retreated back into my cage and hid in the shadows, shivering with hunger, cold or fear I couldn't tell.
He walked towards me, his large black wings making it impossible to come closer. I whimpered pathetically and shielded myself with my arms. He suddenly reached out to my right hand and held it in his. I flinched from the contact, his hand as cold, as the cage I was in.
" Believe me, Fiona Evermore. when say I have no intentions whatsoever of hurting you or your unborn child. I do however think, we can be useful to one another. No deceit, no lies, just facts. At least hear me out, before you judge? "
I couldn't tell, if it was his deep hypnotizing voice or his English accent, that made every word he uttered seem charged with import and authority. Nonetheless, I was beginning to lose my resolve in never making deal with him. We both stared at one another, neither of us saying anything. His fiery eyes, so hollow and empty. I didn't understand the concept of his sudden change in behavior or why he was being friendly all over sudden.
I looked around and saw nothing. Just vast empty space of darkness. I guess anything beats this hell hole. I thought, He must have seen the defeated look in my eyes, because he suddenly got up, and lifted me to my feet. As I passed by every other prisoner, next to my cage. I saw how my stay in the purgatory will affect my future here.
Shades, so hideous and terrible to look at, scratching themselves over and over, shrieking in pain, but unable to never stop. I shivered knowing pretty, soon I would end up, just like them if I didn't manage to get out of here. I looked up and saw him staring down at me, he was letting me see them on purpose, showing me the future he was apparently trying so hard to save me from.
I closed my eyes, and let it all fade away. I let him take me away, I had no clue where he was taking me, but in the back of my mind, I thought, any place is better than the purgatory. I felt very strong magic around me and I cautiously opened my eyes. I saw that he was opening a travel portal. In an instant, the portal was created and he walked in dragging me in along with him.
After we arrived at his intended destination. We got out of the portal, and my eyes were greeted by the most mesmerizing room I have ever seen. As we walked through what I assumed to be a palace throne room, I was blown away by the sheer beauty and power that emanated from the throne room. This was not at all what I expected!
Every inch of the palace throne room was decorated with what I only assumed to be, gold, and various colored diamonds. As beautiful and breathtaking the palace Throne room was it feel in contrast with it's dark, oppressive cold atmosphere.
Upon the throne sat a very attractive tall man with pale skin and a muscular build. He had violet eyes and long, silver hair that fell over his shoulders. He wore a floor-length black shadowy robe and a golden piece of armor over his left shoulder. In his right palm, he held a glowing human skull, which he seemed to be preoccupied with at the moment. Strangely enough, he also wore a golden claw ring on his middle finger, along with green feathered earing on his left ear.
" Father!" he suddenly exclaimed, when he saw us walk in. Putting the glowing human skull aside, he got off his throne and walked towards us, carrying himself confidently.
"Not that I don't appreciate the visit but What brings you to my humble kingdom? " he asked with an easy smile on his face. wait did he just call the demon king father? I thought, before I had any chance to ask anything, he was standing in front me, sniffing me from the neck down to my breast.
" And you brought me a snack, how very kind of you, " he said, still continuing to sniff me.
" She's not a snack son! she's your future mate's mother. " He said casually walking away. The silver-haired man lifted his eyebrows and his lips curled up slightly at the ends. He looked at me and then his gaze followed my heavily pregnant stomach. I was quick To wrap my hands around my stomach.
He looked back at his father and skeptically said; " I don't see how this female's unborn child is any different from the thousands of female's who've offered themselves to me as a bride. In the end, despite everything we've tried, they all met the same ultimate demise"
when he said those words, it felt like the wind was suddenly knocked out of my chest.
" W-what are you talking about? " I stammered curiously, looking around frantically. I stepped back further away from them, my trembling hands still holding my stomach protectively. They both turned to look at me at once and I instantly looked around for any means of escape, momentarily forgetting where I was and whom I was with. Complete Panic started to set in, and I began to feel slightly dizzy, followed by what I could only describe to be the first signs of contractions.
" Fiona am sure you must be tired and hungry. I take it the purgatory food wasn't pleasant nutriment for young heavily pregnant woman like you. I suggest that you follow this young servant boy and get some rest. We'll discuss the rest of this conversation some other time when you are more relaxed"
He spoke with such authority, that it left no room for an argument. I, on the other hand, had no energy to even stand, let alone fight with the demon king. I swallowed my pride and followed a young servant pale boy, who I had no idea was standing so close to me the whole time.
we suddenly came to a stop, He then gestured towards a closed mahogany colored door and walked away, without saying a word. I opened the room and once I stepped in was I taken back by the room's captivating beauty.
I have never seen a room with so much furniture, Every inch of the room was painted in black and red. it was so uncomfortably large. It reminded me of a hotel foyer, not just in the space but in the artwork too. That night I took a nice calming bath, eat the most delicious food I had in months, and slept like a newborn child.
In the middle of the night, I awoke to the most painful menstrual cramps ever, Multiplied by the voices around me. I tried to get up, my mind felt disoriented. Slowly rising from depths of oblivion, I tried to roll over and sit up, but I felt powerless and heavy. I could not move my hands, head or body. A very bright light was sipping through my closed eyelids. Slowly I started blinking desperately trying to open my eye and see what's around and what was happening. As the blinding light slowly subsided I started to look around.
The moon was the first thing I saw, it was like a ghostly-silver disc in the sky. I looked up to the sky and noticed the bright light was not coming from the moon, but from the huge magic circle suspended above me. I instantly recognized the ancient magical runes drawn in the circle and the red liquid dripping from it. At that precise moment, I felt fear, unlike anything I have ever felt in my life. This was a bonding ritual, a blood-bonding ritual and a powerful one at that.
"She's awake, my lord. should we stop the ritual.?" I could hear feminine voices around me, and the stomp of footsteps on the ground. I was definatley laying on the ground, I could feel the sand and the uncomfortable pain in my back.
" NO! continue with the ritual, The bond is already forming, we don't want to server the link before it completes Binding them. " I knew that voice, that accent. it was him, He lied! he deceived me he said we'll discuss the deal. How can he do this?
I tried to sit up and found that i couldn't. I turned my head around and saw unfamiliar faces, people i have never seen before. All around the circle, each with an expectant look on their faces. Yet one face stuck out the most, the one face I swore i would never forget. Immediately I started to panic. She smiled a toothless smile, aware of the advantage she had over me.
" Calm now sister, wouldn't want to hurt yourself in that delicate position now, would you? "
She said grinning sadistically. She looked away and continued chanting, Her wheezy, cackling voice rose higher and higher as she neared the end of her incantation. With each word she uttered, she stared at me with so much hate. Tears started streaming down my face, as I tried to get away from her and her filthy snakelike skin. Her once beautiful face was now as hideous in appearance, just as she was in personality. I touched my stomach and noticed it was empty space, that was when I heard it.
The cries of a newborn babe, screeching. I gasped and looked around. Searching frantically, for the source of the sound, unable to move. I saw The silver-haired man, holding her in his arms. Staring down at her, like she was the most precious thing he'd ever seen. I tried crawling and reaching out to her, my blood dripping down my thighs. As crawled pathetically towards my newborn child, one I didn't even get the chance to hold. Painful tears streamed down my face, as what felt like an invincible force held me back. Reaching out to her, I could only whisper.
" My baby, g-give me back my baby. y-you said you wouldn't take her away from me. Y-YOU LIED!"
