Aiden pulls into the nearest mall and parks the car. We walk towards the entrance to the mall and Aiden starts asking questions about what we're supposed to buy. That's when I realize I have no idea what I'm talking about.
And I was about 30 seconds away from either owning up to lying or keep the bit going. We walk into the first department store I see.
"Are you sure we'll be able to find what we need here?" Aiden asked as I sifted through the clothes near me.
"Of course"
"I mean, it just doesn't seem like we would find anything dance related here. Not for men at least." He looks around the store.
"Let me ask you something," he turns toward me, "Do you know anything about dance?"
"Well no, but-"
"No no no, you don't know, therefore you give no input," I look around the store, "We have to make this quick so you wait here and I'll go find what you need."
"Alright," he shrugs and sits down at the nearest bench while I go look for the outfit.
I go over to the sports section and start to look for the tights Aiden would "need" for our "dance session". Unfortunately, the only thing close to dancing tights were these compression tights for running, which definitely would not be embarrassing for Aiden to show up in. It might even make him look hotter.
I finally give up looking in the men's section after finding a tight white t-shirt. Shit, what am I supposed to do now? I mean I could shoot my shot with the compressed tights or I could give up and call it a day.
I walk back over to the sports section when the most brilliant idea. I make my way over to the junior female section. After a few minutes of searching, I finally find a pair of white form filling leggings.
I pay for the outfit and go find Aiden.
"Alright let's go"
"Wait, don't you need to see if it fits?" I stop short of leaving the store and turn around to face him.
"Oh, right." I pull the outfit out of the bag and hand it to him, "Go change."
He goes to change and I look around the nearby clothes. It takes him so long to get dressed that I manage to buy three different outfits.
"I need to get out of here," I mumble walking back toward the dressing rooms.
"Aiden?" I call out, not knowing which stell he's in.
"Yeah"
"What's taking so long, its been like," I look down at my watch, "20 minutes. We're gonna be late if you don't hurry up."
"Uhh, I don't think I want to go anymore."
I frown, "What? Why?"
Aiden opens the stall and walks out in the outfit. "Because I look ridiculous"
Oh my god, "No, you look normal. This is what all the," I paused to take a breath and try not to laugh," dancers are wearing."
He looks down, "Really?"
I bite my thumb to keep from laughing, "Yeah, you look good."
"Okay," he grabs his clothes and puts them in my bag.
We start to walk out when I look down, "You know id ask you if you were a boxer or briefs guy, but I think I can tell from here."
He looks at me with a deadpan stare, "I'm changing back" He starts to walk back to the dressing rooms and I grab his shoulder.
"I'm sorry, I was just joking, " I adopt a serious tone" you do really look good I promise, And plus, we don't have enough time for you to change, we'll be late."
He stalls for a moment, before deciding to leave. "Alright alright, let's go."
"Great"
We walk back to his car and start driving to Jaime's for the study group.
"Are you sure this is how I'm supposed to be dressed?"
I groan out, "Yes, god stop asking, you'll be fine."
He smiles, "Alright alright, I'll stop asking."
We finally make it to Jaimes house about twenty minutes late. I get out of the car and start walking toward the house when I notice Aiden not following me.
I turn around and see that he hasn't gotten out of the car. I walk back and lean into the window, "Hey we don't have all day here."
Aiden scowled, "I'm coming. Just give a minute." I back away from the window and lean on the side of the car and stand there for about 5 minutes before Aiden finally steps out of the car and we once again make our way to the front door. And Knock.
