I woke up around 4 p.m. and got ready to go over to Jaimes house to study with the rest of the group for the upcoming test.
This was the highlight of college life for me. It wasn't the sisterhood of a sorority or getting wasted at the parties. It was my study group. Going to a university out of state was harder than I thought. Not in terms of classes, but campus life. Social networking made it ten times easier.
I thought that the sorority would do they for me, but the only time I ever saw the other girls were during the weekly meeting thingies. Which I don't even pay attention to.
But study group? The study group was different. Yes, we were all different people with different backgrounds. But we all had one thing in common. We all wanted to get good grades and get the fuck out of college. Some of us would immediately go into the workforce and try to find jobs, and some of us would be going on to graduate school. But none of that mattered.
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have even made it this far if it weren't for these people, and for that, I'll be eternally grateful.
After being stopped three times by the girls wanting to talk about their days, I finally make it out the front door and start walking to Jaime's.
I make it about halfway to the driveway before I run into absolutely the last person I wanted to see right now.
"Look who we have here," Aiden sidled up to meet me in the drive, "Where's a pretty lady like you heading on a beautiful day like this?"
"That's none of your concern." I tried to move past him, but there was no room between the wall and the car. His big muscular, toned, beautiful Adonis of a man was in the way. God, Imagine what he looked like-no stop kate, he's an asshole.
I shouldered my way past him and kept going on my way. But before I could walk out of his reach, he grabbed my wrist tugging softly to turn me around before letting go.
"Hey look, I'm sorry about that," He walks around to his car-
WOW, that looks like a very expensive, nice, expensive car.
"Listen, I came by to see if you wanted to get a ride to Jaime's for the study group?"
It would be an extremely tempting offer if anyone else but Aiden were offering.
"No thanks, I think I'll just walk."
"His house is like four miles away, by the time you'll get there it'll be over." Fuck! I forgot that Jaime had moved off campus.
I hesitate but in the end, I decided to take him up on his offer, "Yeah, okay."
His face lights up with a smile, "Great, let's go."
I walk over to his car, which looks like if I scratched it, I would the rest of my career paying it off. I try to pull the handle open, but for some, the door won't budge.
"Hey, unlock the door."
"It is unlocked."
"Then, why won't it open?" I pull again. It still doesn't open.
"Oh shit my bad, you have to pull up, not put" I do as he says and the door opens, and I get in. The interior of the car is all black, which I'm pretty sure is leather. This will probably be the most expensive thing I'll ever step foot in.
When he starts the car and starts driving the speed he's driving is projected onto the windshield. I spend the next five minutes staring in awe at my surroundings until Aiden breaks the silence.
"Sooo, what exactly are we studying?"
I started at him for a good 20 seconds, "Are you being serious right now?" I know that we study any and everything, but he doesn't know that so I'm gonna play with him a little.
"Yeah I am"
I glance at him from the side, "Well alright then, I'll tell you. But I don't think you're gonna like what we're doing today."
Aiden scoffs, "Try me."
I sighed, " Today we're practicing a routine for our modern contemporary dance class."
"Really"
I nod, " Yeah, we all decided to take the class together, you know, to spend more time together."
Aiden purses his lips, looking very uncomfortable with the thought of dancing. The car is silent for a long moment before he finally shrugs, "You know, I've always wanted to learn how to dance. This is a perfect opportunity."
"Well you know, you need to be dressed appropriately?"
"What do you mean?"
"You don't want to go and be the only not properly dressed, do you?"
"I guess not."
"Why don't we go to the mall, and I help you pick out what you need to wear. Its the least I could do." You know, what with all your harassing and such.
He smiles, turning onto the freeway to head to the nearest mall, "Sounds like a plan."
