It looked like the goblins had heard me, because they were now milling in a big disturbed bunch as if they weren't sure what to do next and needed each other to feel safe.
“You know, Wizard... We've decided you can keep her. We don't do crazy.” Called out the leader with absolutely no power to his voice or any of his previous evil aura.
“Hey! There is nothing wrong with trying to find your superpower!” I grump from behind Hades.
“Please, just get her out of here, she's creepy.” Leader said with a shooing motion.
I moved out from behind Mr. Mountain and crossed my arms and glared. “I am not creepy!”
The Mountain just picked me up again and high tailed it out of the room. “Hey! The exit showed up again. That is so not fair.”
“Can you not? Just be quiet until I get us out of this.” Hades muttered under his breath as he moved swiftly, his long ass-apple! I mean his long apple strides moving us twice as fast as mine would have gone. Don't tell Chill, I fell off the wagon. He might not figure it out since it was only in my head, but we do that crazy twin thing sometimes and he just knows what I'm thinking. Hmm, I might have to stop using the word crazy too.
In only a few minutes, Hades brought us back to the game area, where my brother was still hanging out. Chill was doing some sort of dance that had him swinging his butt back and fourth and his hands swinging in opposite directions.
“Well, I see it runs in the family.” Hades grumbled.
Chill immediately stopped his dance and stood straight, trying to look cool. Then he snerked when he noticed I was, once again, hanging in the air a foot above the floor. I rolled my eyes at him.
“Hi Hades, you seemed to have caught my sister. Is this going to be a habit?” Chill pressed a hand over his mouth to keep from laughing out loud again.
“Depends on whether or not she's going to keep needing to be saved. How did you know my name?” Hades finally set me down.
I tugged my shirt down, it had ridden up over the waistband of my skirt, then I made a face. “Apparently, the people at school have decided you and I are a matched set.” I put my hands on my hips and looked up at him.
He raised his eyebrow. “Why?”
“Oh! Oh! Let me, sis.” Chill cleared his throat and used his announcer voice. “Hades, meet Athena.” He waved at me like a game show hostess. “And my name is Chill, nice to meet you.”
“Don't let him fool you, his name is Achilles, but call him Chill.” I huffed out.
“Sis! You wound me! How could you tell!” He clutched at his chest and mock stumbled back in pain.
“Relax, I've a feeling he's one of the only people who gets why. Besides you were having too much fun at my expense.” I stuck my tongue out at him.
Hades just kept rubbing his hands over his face like he just couldn't handle our amazingness. Yeah, it takes a strong person to handle us I suppose. He held out his hands and said, “look, nice meeting you and all, but you can't just let your sister loose in a place run by goblins.”
