Flora and I discussed children today. It was a little awkward to talk about my son as if he was still alive, but, otherwise the conversation went about as I expected it to. I told her a little about my past; she told me a little of hers.
We both know procreation is a God-given right. But demons lose that as soon as we “fall.” Now I’m human again; I could earn that right back.
Here’s the wrinkle: until I earn that right back, what would happen if I slept with someone? I doubt the miracles of biology just stop. If I got a woman pregnant, what would happen to the baby? Would it survive?
And, if it did, it would be human. So, when our thousand days finish that child would become an orphan in the best case or killed in the worst, right?
I pray we never get that far.
