((I’m not quite sure what S.H.O.T.A.’s alignment is, but it’s definitely chaotic.))

[DR. B] What are you doing?
[DR. H] I'm playing a game. Uh, you can come watch if you want.
[DR. B] Wow, is that really a video game? It's so... primitive. I can barely tell what those shapes are supposed to be. Why would you play something like this?
[DR. H] Because it's really good. The storyline is very endearing.
[DR. B] But it's so clunky, so... pixelated. It's not even three-dimensional! Did you dig this out of a museum? For crying out loud, H̷̭̻͌̌̿̅ͅ-̸̪̹̹̱̂̈́̈́͐̀-̶̰̻̱̙̔͌͒͋͜-̸̙̲̲̞͆̅̍̕͝/̶̖̘̦̓͗/̷̫̹̙͆͐͆-̸̺̝̝̓͋, this must have been one of the first rudimentary games ever developed!
[DR. H] Oh, well, uh, actually, it was made at a time when high-definition, detailed graphics were already a thing. But the guy who made it was trying to capture the spirit of an earlier era of gaming.
[DR. B] I can't imagine why.
[DR. H] Wait, Dr. B̸̹̀e̶̝̋á̴͍l̶͔̀, you might appreciate this—this game remembers the choices you make and changes the storyline based on them. That's pretty interesting, right?
[DR. B] This is a waste of time. Get back to work, Doctor.
[DR. H] Wait! Don't go! You'll like this next part!
[DR. B] Oh, is that so— SWEET MOTHER OF S̷-̴M̷E̴G̸A̴, THE HELL IS THAT THING?!
[DR. H] One of the final bosses.
[DR. B] Damn, it’s like looking into the face of insanity…
[DR. H] Hey, you were scoffing at the graphics before. Don’t you think this is better? It’s more realistic-looking, isn’t it?
[DR. B] For the love of all that is good and holy, bring back the damn pixels and get that monstrosity off our screens!

HALPRT is the sentient protagonist of an indie game masterminded by a dead weeb. When he first spawns, his life is okay - he lives in a nice neighborhood, he has a friend named SAM, and he is free to sulk around his house as much as he pleases. But the serenity does not last long. A disembodied voice starts ordering him around, setting off a chain reaction that sends him stumbling right into a cliched heroic adventure...
Journey with HALPRT as he attempts to survive his quest, with a little help from his new NPC acquaintances - and a little too much help from the snarky, sadistic A.I. who controls his entire universe. Cheer HALPRT on as everything around him comes to ruin, thanks to an unexpected mystery guest who hails from beyond the fourth wall.
Enjoy a slightly ironic storyline. Enjoy simplistic animesque art and a somewhat less simplistic plot, sprinkled with malevolent jokes and self-indulgent satire. Enjoy a soft-science-fiction theme with a couple of big twists. Enjoy a surplus of parody characters who are actually very miserable. Enjoy GAMEFIXED.
CW: themes of depression, trauma and loss, occasional language, occasional violence/blood, and a whole lot of awful jokes
