Smiling once more, he resumed his friendly demeanor, pulling the demon into a standing position. Cleaning away any dirt and visible blood Hydra patted down Murni causing him squirm in his hold uncomfortably due to the events that just took place previously. Pleased that the potion hid away any marks of injury that had befallen the demon, Hydra took a step back.
"There all clean, now remember this will remain our little secret from mistress okay." Smiling down in an over friendly manner it seemed the perfect picture of companion if it weren't for his silted eyes that promised torture if he even dared breathe a word of this; made him no choice but to nod for his own safety. "Good now that's out of the way, our time is nearly up so we will continue this for tomorrow understood." Leaving the demon's side he disappeared into the darkness only for the moaning of gears to indicate that he had once more pulled the lever to restore the room to its original shape and position in the death realm. The room trembled as it restored itself into the same room Murni had first entered, leaving a cracked table caked with blood as the only reminder that anything had occurred. Feeling more than certain that this white Hydra was a little more than unhinged, the foolish demon for one of the rare times in his entire existence decided to remain silent and keep a close eye on the creature until someone retrieves him for the next lesson. For what seemed like an eternity of tense silence the door finally opened to reveal an angered Gon covered from head to toe in what can only be described as dried muck.
"Time to go, or do you want to stay with crazed maniac bastard." Gon was furious to say the least but his fury did not blind him to the damage desk caked in drying blood nor to the way Murni stood wary to the reptilian, especially to the smell of blood that lingered off of the demon. Motioning for the demon to hurry up he waited until he passed before making a rude gesture towards the stunned reptile. Once they were far from the room Gon voiced his burning question trending carefully as he knew from personal experience that he would still be shaken after that encounter; anyone would. "So how did the le'son go? Troublesome Ill take it?" Noticing the way the demon flinched and try to force an easy smile as he came up with an response, he idly flicked off dried specks of muck to seem that he wasn't all that interested.
"Oh well...um... it went well and all... really was uh... pai--er... tough lesson but I think that I learn to follow directions more carefully. *heh heh* Yeah to listen to... whatever they say." Not once did he even look at Gon but instead locked eyes with the floor. Dropping the question for now he led the hurting demon out into the cobbled courtyard where a line of targets stood. Reaching the center, Murni spoke,
"So why didn't Hydra follow us like the previous one did...not that I'm complaining or anything just curious!?"
"Oh hes not allowed out the room much unless surrounded by his kind 'case he snaps again. Plus theres no need to share memory, Red already did so before dumping me in the oinkers pin so, calm down hes around here lurking somewhere stay clear of the trees." Nodding towards the littered trees planted in random places. Little confused Murni too looked around.
"What do you mean, why would I—Hey look out!" An arrow flew through the air planting itself where the goblin previously stood had it not been for Murni.
"Ah so close! Guess your reflexes aren't too bad, but had it been better your clothes wouldn't have been torn or even better caught it with your bare hands." An orange figured appeared at the top of a tree, five meters to the right of Murni; waving their hand before jumping down and making their way towards the two. Upon closer inspection, Murni could identify the creature as the orange version of Hydra only wearing what appears to be an archer's uniform lined with green trimmings. Just now realizing that this is the only Hydra he had seen the whole day who still had flowers as he had seen in their original form; only this one is tying it up like hair in a ponytail that reaches mid-back. Being the fool that he is asked why he wore flowers like hair in a feminine fashion, not realizing that the deadpan look was his only warning before a swipe of the bow behind the knees caused him to fall onto his back.
"Ok this is your first warning from me, say that again and you will be no more than a pin cushion when I'm done with you." Hydra loomed over the sprawled demon before offering a hand to lift him back up. Taking the offered hand Murni was lifted back onto his feet and turned the hand into a handshake. Taking this moment to compare this version with the previous two, Murni notices that this one actually seems genuinely kind. Their eyes were softer, not harden or dwelled in crazed darkness and they wore a small smile that didn't reek of madness (or more acutely deranged psychopath). However, they seemed to be hiding something and based on their first interaction, they are swarmed with mischievous.
"Ok based on what other me showed me and told me, you been through a lot huh." It was more a statement than a question. "Well no matter, as Kiron of Archery I must still put you to work but first," He moved the flowers to reveal a small pack that was previously hidden by his flowers, kneeling down he open it to retrieve a rather large worn book and handed it to Murni. "You are gonna need this." Looking down at the heavy book in his hands, the Title read 101 things to know about Archery by some dead guys.
"Oh that? Well I wrote the book and the knowledge were from some men that I killed but admired their skills. Also, come on now the eight of me are well, dead and we do have some outstanding moves so who needs names." He smiled as if he was discussing a past memory that he was fond of dearly. Looking up at the sky, the sun had risen high enough to indicate it was already noon. Hydra seeing the time sat down and told Murni to start reading before he had to leave while he cleaned his arrows. Doing as he was told he was so engrossed in his reading he didn't notice the arrow being aimed at him until he felt something hit his head. Reaching up he felt the arrow lodged inside his head. He felt odd that it didn't hurt but rethinking what the red Hydra said,
He said that other objects would cause me pain so then why is there no pain?
"Oh, other me didn't explain very well on the pain in this realm did he? No matter you'll learn soon enough but back to training. You need to read and dodge arrows; to handle an arrow you must know the pain, know the maneuvers that can cause a miss and signs in an archer that allows you to predict their movements. Though chances are that you would be preoccupied so this is a good first lesson." Standing up he pulled the string back ready to fire. "Ok to make it easy I will not move from this spot all you have to do is read and dodge at the same time on the count of three, Ready?"
"No wait! Can't I just read!"
"One~"
"Come on these are my only clothes!"
"Two~"
"I'm tired of fearing for my life today!"
"Three~" Hydra released the first arrow leaving only a second for Murni to dodge. Hydra reloaded and repeated his actions remaining in the same spot as Murni kept dodging. Feeling confident in his dodging ability he taunted the archer for not being able to hit him even once. Irritated Hydra decided to up the speed and use two arrows aiming right for his head. Seeing this Murni barely had time to duck before they shot through the air overhead.
"Hey I thought you were only to do one arrow at a time!" He cried as another flew by his ear grazing it.
"Never said that, but I did say, was that for you to read the book and dodge. As far as I can see you're being cocky with dodging and disobeying me to a certain extent. Meaning that I can finish this so that other me can have their turn teaching." Hydra replied nonchalant now firing three arrows twice the previous speed. It was only mere seconds before there was a demon pin cushion on the ground trapped by arrows keeping him pinned.
"Hey you dead yet?"
"I'm already dead!"
"Oh yeah, well pick yourself up and go then." Hydra replied standing up.
"I would but as you can see, I'm sorta stuck here." Murni huffed. Strutting over to pinned demon to see what can be done. Looming over the demon, he nudged him with his foot only to receive an annoyed huff in return.
Seeing as the demon wasn't moving an inch he decided he might as well go help him out, he started to pull out the arrows. Once all the arrows were removed, it became very much apparent that Murni still had trouble moving.
"Why can't I move? I thought that once the arrows were removed I would be able move." Murni questioned.
"Take a look at your body its tattered, its no more than mincemeat; which is why a simple potion should do the trick." Pulling out a vial from his pack, he began to empty its contents unto Murni's tattered body.
"See now, while the soul isn't exactly connected to the body, the body still serves as a vessel. Damage the vessel enough and it becomes immovable so, think before acting. Oh also, think potions of some-short-of reattach medicine." Hydra explained watching the demon's body heal itself until Murni finally stood stretching. His torn clothes hanging by threads upon his body.
Suddenly remembering a question Murni asked why the arrows didn't hurt while hitting the ground did. Hydra explained that while it is true that purposely attacks don't harm, accidental harm does as to serve a lesson to be more self-aware and be cautious no matter the circumstances.
"That still doesn't answer my question as to why though?"
"Well you see, Mistress can be..."
"'Cause shes a sadict with a twisted heart." Turning to face the rather rude gruff voice only for it to be Gon carrying a basket covered in cloth. With another grumble he stomped his way towards to two evading the reptile's grabby hands to deliver the basket to the demon.
"Oh I wondered where you went and yet you won't share with me, your best friend." Hydra pouted giving what can be assumed as a pitiful look.
"Since when did I ever consider any one of yousez a friend of mine? This heres for the fool, twisted mistress ordered me –after summoning a snatchtol– to energize the soul." Turning once more to the demon he all but shoved the basket into his hands. With pure joy in his eyes Murni sat and removed the lid to reveal: an luscious red apple, a small loaf of bread, and some cheese to go with it. Before another word could be said Murni had already devoured half of the basket's contents, only after having the apple snatched from his hand by Hydra- who took a bite out of it- did he stop.
"So I know I'm dead and all but, out of curiosity what is the point of eating although for some reason I'm starving. Isn't the fact that I'm dead shouldn't allow such a thing?"
"Well if you must know the next lesson will be table etiquette for your meals whenever you dine with her mistress amongst other things. But I will get more into that later." An impatient voice answered indicating that someone new was approaching. Now in sight the voice came from another Hydra colored cobalt blue, and wearing tutor robes, even carrying a decent size book in his arms as he strutted closer.
The creature had his eyes trained on his counter-part filled disapproval before briefly glaring Gon onto wearing a blank face when he stopped fully before Murni. " Now I hope you had your fill, you will not get a single bite until you have mastered the proper way of consumption that will be far grander than it would be before a mere queen; this a goddess we are talking about after all." Not waiting for a response, he quickly grabbed hold of his counter-part's hand to acquire their memory of Murni's behavior. After a moment passed, he pulled away a surprised glee shown in his eyes though he hid it well under an air of indifference. "Well at least you can read, there might be some hope for you yet." Turning around he started his trek back into the castle only stopping briefly to order the demon to follow.
