Elle looked to the ground while he tried to sort out his thoughts.
Bad memories? Good memories? I don't know which I saw or felt.. And why are Christians the ones who get bad memories and the Number-ies getting good memories with this one pendant? And how can Christians get stronger... no it's that the Number-ies get weaker when they don't have it. So what am I'm going to do?! If I tell him neither will he still slit my throat?
Elle looked up to Vlalan and studied the wet body. Vlalan's hair was soaked to his head and he was rubbing his stomach.
A bruised rib if I'm lucky... His legs look fine though so if he really wants to kill me he'll be more than able to if I try to dash to the door.
Elle shrugged, "I felt warm inside but my thoughts were moving so fast I'm not sure if I had good memories or not..."
"What was the first thing that came to mind when you got it?"
"My mom's warmth." Elle answered, "She told me a story once about how she had gotten a hold of it."
"Well that story might be true, but a mother's warmth is always a good feeling," Vlalan answered thinking. He stood up and stretched. "Get up."
"Huh?"
"We have to go to Headquarters where the top three should be." Vlalan answered. "If Nine-Nine-One can find out how to double his strength with the pendant then they'll have no more use for Nine-Nine-Zero."
"I thought you said--"
"There's a tenth person who has a white aura when he or she has Memento," Vlalan answered. "And if you prove to be him and he finds out we don't need you anymore then he'll kill you so you don't join the Melody Organization."
