Elle waved goodbye to Daiji as he out of the car with his papers and watched him drive away. Once he was sure his brother was gone, he nodded and opened his gate, walking up to his veranda. He stopped when he saw a young man who looked to be about the age of 20 standing on it.
So, it was the other gift? He shrugged and walked over to the veranda.
"Excuse me," Elle said and the young man turned around to face him.
He was dressed in black jeans with dark sneakers. He stood about 5'9'' tall Elle guessed. He had light fair skin with light brown eyes. His hair was a short dark brown parted over his right eye, his bangs lightly covering his left eye. It was short and neatly cut to his shoulders. For a shirt he was wearing a navy v-neck with a black zip-up jacket that fell to his thighs. Around his neck on a thin silver chain rested a simplistic design of a silver cross.
"Are you Elle Doki?" the man asked in a soft tone, yet poliet.
Elle nodded, "Yes and you must be the one my father asked to keep me company?" He nodded. "What's your name?"
The man smiled a bit, "Vlalan."
Elle smiled a bit and walked up the steps, unlocking his door. "Do you have anything?"
"A few things in my car."
"Where'd you park it?" "In the garage." Vlalan answered. "Your father gave me a duplicate key to it and the house."
Elle nodded and opened the door letting Vlalan in first. He then walked in and headed toward the kitchen. "Are you hungry for anything?"
"I can make some spagetti." Vlalan answered, following Elle to the kitchen and sat at the table.
"I meant for you to eat."
"And I'm meaning for us both to eat unless you'd rather I cooked something else?"
Elle shrugged. "I don't eat much." He sat across from Vlalan after turning on the lights and the heater.
"What do you like?" Vlalan asked, his eyes studying Elle's expression.
"Pastas, salads and pastries." Elle answered, his face pretty neutral. "I don't like much meat."
"Do you like lobster or chicken?"
"Chicken but I'll have lobster on Christmas and New Years."
"Do you drink?"
"Alcohol?" Elle asked and Vlalan nodded. "No and I expect that you won't either."
"Wine?"
"No."
"Soda pop?"
"No."
"Juice?"
"Water and lemonade are all I drink." Elle answered strictly.
Vlalan nodded and stood up. He started to look through the cupboards and refridgerator to see what he could cook with. "Tomorrow we'll go buy you some food. Do you like fruit salads?"
