23/4 EDIT: Thanks to LazyReader I remembered I totally forgot to draw a part of the image ^^; I guess this update is exclusive for subscribers :)
I decided to draw something for the Earth Day, did you know that now is the International Year of Soil? I didn't, until just recently. It's interesting to think what the word "soil" all stands for. What is soil to you?
The landscape is based on a real mountain range called Bohemian Central Uplands where I went on excursion recently and was amazed by the cute conic hills - they are of volcanic origin.
I wanted to thank you all for your enormous support last time!
Also I apologize to supporters who were promised to view a new episode three days before public, I guess I will have to give up on that since it works differently than I thought. I'm sorry, I hope you aren't too mad TT_TT
Green, green, green, green, green, green, green. Is it just me or am I getting tired of green. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for helping the planet, it's the color choice; I've discovered that doesn't make sense. But the real color we outta embrace is brown. Brown is the true color of Earth. Brown is the color soil, the color of dirt, the color of mud; the color of work. For without dirt, nothing green would ever grow. The people that are on the forefront of helping our environment are not celebrities or politicians; they're the people periodically covered in 50 shades of brown. The problem is "Work" is not a popular or glamorized concept in the environmentalist literature or most area's of debate these days. The real environmental warriors are the ones spending 8-10+ hours a day in rain, sun, snow, sand, fire and ash. Fine, fabulous and filthy folks who work hard for a living keeping our environment safe from invasive species, contaminants, overgrazing, deforestation, erosion, carelessness and restoring that which has been degraded. To embrace green, first you gotta get down, with the brown. Brown before green, like in the dictionary.
Random interesting things from nature and obvious facts under new light.
Updated when time allows me.
