the entire concept of this page is literally just walking somewhere and I spent over two days individually drawing books because yeah, THAT'S where the important bits are
now, *pulls out notes*:
local artist can't be bothered to draw another peony, yet individually draws each abstract rose on this bolt of cloth
>apologies for the drowning imagery if that's troublesome! expect more of that maybe because I have almost drowned at least once
> panel 5: that's a petal on the ground. also, the glow is the household runes. basically, the security system.
the library: this room is only a library because this happened to be where the books are kept. We can see Ser has been sitting here practicing some drawn elements. I wonder what subject? ;3c
A too-great majority of these books are catalogs and parts and housing information that is borderline out of date. Serenity moved all of those toward the display, and put the actually interesting ones nearer her seat. 'Interesting' means books on herbs, landscaping, magical history, and other stuff that is more of a general reference for a magician. just some fun facts
Serenity's mother is dead. Serenity herself is the illegitimate child of a powerful magical family that, due to her lack of magic, wants nothing to do with her. That's to be expected--so why is the powerful and centuries old wizard Pen offering her a home?
