If there is light, there is hope. But maybe the light is more like a calamity sometimes, like a darkness you never saw coming. Because, who would ever suspect light?
No one...
Light is the source of life after all. And it never betrays you, since it allows you to see clearly when you most need to... you must protect the light, for the sake of everything that is good...
So what happens when that light... your light... allows you to see things you never wanted to watch or to hear?
Can you still call that light hope?
Never again, because it becomes despair.
And that's just how it is... because all good things never prevail forever.
Cyrus, didn't want to acknowledge that... but in fact, he actually knew it, from the bottom of his heart.
450 B.C.
Dezierya, a small kingdom located on the banks of the river San. Not too long ago this same place was inhabitaded by the hands of no man. In short, a deserted land.
One day a talented and incredibly wise man decided that it was time for the land to bloom. It's time had come.
And so Dezierya was born. The hope that came from the new morning was so exciting for the new habitants, and the peace lasted for at least 123 years after the end of the war.
A false peace.
Because the war never ended in reality.
350 B.C.
The new king aroused interest, he was tall, imposing, and knew how to make quick decisions. The king was admired and loved by his people. But hated by the ones that envied the thrown, of course, like in any other kingdom.
Even so, when the first daughter was born, they decided that they didn't want another child, a male. The kingdom found this strange, how was a woman going to be their "king"?
Everyone protested, and some other ones organized a violent attack against the castle.
Hefesto was angry with his people. However, he was still so prudent and smart, hence he decided to remain calm and rely on his speech abilities. He talked to Dezierya. Dezierya willingly heard him. And by the time the princess was 12 years old, the people came to love her and really wanted her to become their "king".
Accordingly, everything was fine...
until the princess unknowingly to the kingdom, disappeared.
No one knew what just had happened, but they didn't ask any further. On the other hand, the ones that wanted from the very beggining a male descendant were unanimously happy.
Nonethless, the people continued to find more and more flaws on the new prince. No one knew how to get happy with the things they had. And even so, the little prince, Cyrus, still tried his hardest to live up to his name.
"And, and then, what happened to the little prince? Di-did he like, got to be happy at the end?", asked the prince.
"Well, I don't know that for sure. It seems that we need to continue the story to find out if the prince got to be happy and married a beautiful princess", answered Ezio.
"Sure! So can you please! please finish the story Ezio! Please!".
"Why are you in a hurry to learn the end? Is it because the boy is named the same way you are?"
"U-uh", he answer with his head from up to down.
"how cute —he thought—. If you would allow me to say, I will dare to explain to you that the story just now doesn't have an ending... yet".
"The-then, how will I know if I'm going to be the best prince ever in the whole land? I'm sure that most people still don't like me, but well, I at least don't do as the other kids disrespectfully do. I am a good boy".
"Indeed, you are a good boy, but you need to sleep now, so the whole Dezierya will love you tomorrow".
"How do you know that Ezio? I already told you that they hate me a lot, like this much —the kid opened his arms abruptly as much as his lenght allowed him to—".
"Well I can guarantee you that, after all, I can see a light shining really hard inside of you, hoping one day someone would pay attention to it".
"Really? You swear? In the name of Hera?"
"In the name of Hera", he firmly replied to the amuzed kid.
But you and I know, how light actually works...
