One of the most fun parts of writing Traveling Seers was creating the Afterlife League teams. Most of them are based on actual legends I know from players, and I wish I had more time to delve on all of them. Maria's first team were in the Afterlife Little League (yes, there's an Afterlife Little League, more on that in the future) and were called the Riverside Reapers, or, in spanish, the Canaleros of Cuemanco. And yes, they played near the Cuemanco Canal where a lot of people drowned. There's also a little league there and my little brother used to play there, and while no child of any team was ever in any danger one couldn't help but find it really creepy at night.
Baseball players never die, they just move on to another league-- The Afterlife League. There they can play baseball forever. But what happens when a team of living, breathing humans comes to play? To challenge baseball's "living" history? Come watch the game in Traveling Seers.
