I recently had to change my diet for something that should have been brought to my attention years ago. Starbucks has this drink ordering app where you can customize everything in the order. Once or twice a week for about 2 years, I would order a Chai with Heavy Cream.
I don’t know if the readers know about Heavy Cream but if you don’t, you should know that there should be a skull and crossbones instead of a button when ordering the drink. Guess how many calories are JUST IN 8 OZs of heavy cream…820 CALORIES. GUESS WHAT SIZE I WOULD GET… VENTI, WHICH IS OHHHHH AROUND 20 OZS. WITH ONE SINGLE DRINK I WOULD HAVE MY CALORIES FOR THE DAY. I WAS DOING THIS FOR YEARSSSS. The only reason that I learned about the heavy cream is that one day, I was going for my standard light 20oz of a lightly sweet chai latte with 16 OZ OF HEAVY CREAM.
When I finished the order, the cashier looked at me like I just took away his dignity while looking at my waist in confusion. Wait, do you really want heavy cream in a lightly sweet Chai Latte. I replied yes. But make sure that it is lightly sweet, I have a hard time with sweet drinks. With that, he started to make my drink. Have you ever seen someone working so hard on something while struggling to bite the tongue because you realllllllllly wanted to ask more questions but it could get you fired? THAT IS WHAT HE LOOKED LIKE MAKING MY DRINK. Which is why I looked up heavy cream.
