Thomas shifted in his seat. The seats and everything else were made for humans and he wondered where they had found them. The humans in this world were huge themselves. The furniture here was made for smaller humans. Thomas got lost in thought and suddenly realised he was mumbling. The group and the two giants looked at him. He looked back at all of them. Cleared his throat sporting a bit of a blush.
“We were already briefed by others before we got here.” He said annoyed by his own embarrassing behavior. Calla smiled.
She sure is true to her given title.
“I am sure you know what the actual mission is, we were talking about the more practical issues.”
Thomas raised one brow.
“Practical issues?”
Calla nodded.
“How long ago were you on either of the two worlds?” She asked cheerfully. Thomas frowned and he got flustered again.
“I’ve never been to Gaea….” He mumbled and looked away. Chloe sighed.
“We died about 60 years ago on Dera.” She told. Thomas was a bit shocked.
Was it really that long?
Calla’s face turned into surprise.
“60?!” she exclaimed. She almost yelled it. It is surprising. Most people don’t stay in either Heaven or Hell that long. They usually automatically go to the next step of reincarnation after 40 or 50 years. The ones that stay longer, often are the ones that haven’t come to terms with what happened to them. They linger, not going forward or backward. They tend to forget why they were even there. Thomas and Chloe had not forgotten though. Never would they forget.
“I died about 33 years ago.” Dylan said. Trying to get attention away from the subject. He could tell that both of them grew darker the more everyone's curiosity rose. His voice changed the mood and everyone quickly turned back to the original conversation.
“And the little doll 34 years ago.” Calla added pointing at Sarah “There you go then.”
“As you can tell the worlds have changed quite a bit! Well, actually A LOT!”
“Technology has grown and probably didn’t even exist when you were alive” She said while gesturing to Thomas and Chloe. They both frowned.
“We’re not that ancient, thank you.” Chloe answered agitated. “Technology was on the rise when we were teens.”
Calla laughed.
“Forgive me! I didn’t mean to offend you, I don’t actually know when electricity and such were a thing on Dera!”
“For as far as we know it started on Dera decades before it became a thing on Gaea.” Dylan said dryly. Calla fell silent and blushed.
“Is that so?” She asked grinning. She suddenly smiled again. “Anyway! It has changed now and our worlds are not as they were those many years ago!”
Thomas grunted.
We know this already… what is this conversation good for.
Milos sighed and rolled his eyes.
“Your stay with us is so you all can get used to how the worlds are now, you will be staying with two others at Dera after this.” He said with his monotone voice. Calla nodded cheerfully.
“You will basically be trained in being a living being again!” She chattered. “Like zombies!!”
Calla clapped her hands. The motion made the tiny human furniture and the group of 4 shake tremendously. Milos noticed the fear of the tiny humans in front of him while they held onto their seats for dear life. He raised his hand and Calla instantly stopped clapping. As she realised that the small furniture had moved rather close to the edge of the giant cupboard it was standing on, she blushed.
“Whoops! Sorry.” She said flustered. “I got too excited.”
